Why less graduates pursue blue collar jobs?

It has been observed that only a few graduates are willing to go out and do some blue collar jobs that would bring them money, they tend to feel too big to do it.
Why is this so?
Is it bad for a graduate to do some blue collar jobs?
You see some graduates who prefer to stay idle and broke rather than involve in Blue collar jobs that would help them make money.
Is there anything bad for a graduate to do some blue collar jobs?

Seriously, I don't really understand why some people wouldn't like to take up such job in order to make extra money in the process. Well, I would say that they are not interested in that kind of job.

Let's graduate pursue blue-collar job because they feel that they are above the level of blue collar job as they are gone through the rigors of going to school and so what they deserve is actually White collar jobs that in their warped opinions pays better and is more cleaner.

This mistake is very common among the undergraduate in African countries. They only think round their certificate and jettison their skills. The problem is that most universities do not emphasize on skills but the certificate.

Seriously, it's something that only apply to undergraduates in my opinion because when they finally complete their education and join the labor force, they will understand what's going on.

Everybody wether graduate or not wants the best white collar jobs available. But they forget that not everyone will get white collar jobs. Why not get to find something for yourself instead of waiting only on getting a white collar job

Seriously, they are just all bunch of lazy people who don't have any idea of what to do with their lives until it's too late for them with their age. Some youth are just unbelievable.

They feel blue collar job are boring, repetitive. It’s true that the average blue-collar job pays less than the average white-collar job.

That is why it is a good thing and best plan of action for these graduates siting and idling away their time at home to put down their pride and do something for their lives while they still can now
Learning a skill is one thing, getting jobs after learning the skill is another thing. The government needs to create enabling environments for businesses to survive for people to be able to create jobs.

Blue collar jobs isn't bad for a graduate but the society have made it look like If you are a graduate you can't Excel without doing a white collar job and moreover there are always a kind of pressure on graduate in the family because after graduation most of your family members will expect you to start working in a big firm and start bringing huge Money to support the family.
The thing is that most of these graduate are in the habit of avoiding doing any blue collar jobs and that is one of the reasons why they went to school but in a situation whereby they have graduated from school and they could not find any White collar job they will feel that blue collar jobs too meanial for them to do.

Maybe because they are just interested in white-collar job but sometimes this might actually be a bad decision especially when they are living in an environment that is high with unemployment.

Our orientation about blue collar job isthat blue collar job is meant for uneducated people and drop outs so we tend to pursue white collar job and the white collar job cannot be given to everybody due to the scarcity of job out there.

You can’t understand why is like that until you get into their position so by then you will know that they don’t like staying at home at all, but they don’t have a choice since the country is not helping at all.

The fact that you can do both makes it more comforting. There are limited white collar jobs out there and the ones out there are mostly given based on connection. Learning how to survive without their certificates is challenging but rewarding.

There are limited well paid white collar jobs not that their are not available white collar jobs. People keeps pursuing white collar jobs because of the job security that they enjoy in it.

You can't believe them because it is the system that is working against them. The system in place does not recognise as a graduate if you didn't graduate with second class upper or distinction.

It is very limited and currently if you look at the panda make and how it has affected various businesses many of them have had to downsize in order to still see a profit and as a result his job opportunities are even more scarce.

I will say that students that after graduation don't look for job are lazy. Or they are tired of not been given job when they look for the job. Like here in my area a lady went to a place and look for job. Only a position is needed but more than 10 applied for the job

They do so because of lack of information, lack of knowledge, lack of patience. Funny thing is the better monies are hidden in these blue collar jobs that supposedly pay less. People need to see that the basics are wealth bringing

Yeah, most graduates are so lazy to do any kind of jobs. But the education systems in most countries messed them up. People grew up knowing after school, you get a white collar job in whichever course you studied.

But it is not like nowadays that what a person studied in school does not really matters anymore. I have sienna person that studied chemistry in school but now he is a banker, he works in the bank and now a boss in that bank

Most graduate who are thinking to get employment after graduation over here are actually wasting most of their time on something they do not really understand ,the high level of unemployment is so much.
