Yes, having a skills as a student will help's you alot, also if you have a skill you won't boarder your parents but you may even help them out in times of needs, having a skill is a great idea to make many things simple.

You may not be 100% dependent on your skill as a student you will still need the help of your parents maybe to pay your school fees but if you have a skill you can take care of the transportation and other things that will be needed in the school without bothering them about all those ones

Yes it is quite possible for you to be able to pay for your school fees with your skill even in the university but this will always be in some circumstances because sometimes most of this good skill will require a lot of your time for you to be able to make something reasonable, I can said you can only be able to do that whenever it is possible.

The thing is that a lot of people don't know that learning a skill is part of education though informal. People just think that formal education is the only type of education that's obtainable.
Formal education is still as relevant in this world.

I also like that people get a basic education first before embarking on learning skills. The School - education system will teach you to read and write and impact you with critical and creative thinking and research skills. Some people are born with these skills, but most will have to go to school to learn them which will aid in their learning of other skills.

it is said that most of the rich people in the world were not grade 10 students at school and yet they got here. It doesn't matter so much, for the most part, school ... but it's also beneficial after all. you can't not go to school at all and be rich. In my opinion.

otherwise, I would choose the skill. if I know something very well and I like it, I either open a business on that something, or I look for work in that something and I show what I can.

I agree with you, education is important but with our current economy, it is not enough to get you what you want. Even the government themselves have said emphasizing on the need for learning a skill, because there are no jobs out there. After you have attained a certain level of education, you can take up a skill.
Skill is what trends now, because most organizations look out for skilled personnels.
