Between existing customers and new customers which one someone needs to give special treatment?

Both existing customers and new customers are very important to a business. They both play a major role in the well doing of the business. If you fail to manage the existing ones, the business will fail and if you fail to meet the new one's expectation, the business will never move forward

You have made a good point. Both sets of customers are equally important to the success of a business. Having preference for one particular group will make you lose the other and vice versa.

Personally I think both customers should be treated with special attention because you need the new customers to come back again and you still need the existing ones to be more more satisfied and comfortable with your services so the both should be treated with special attention
 
An existing customer is customer that has been patronizing you for long and keep on doing so while new customer is the one that just patronize you newly. In my own view, both of them are so very important in business setting and even for business growth. As for you which one will you prefer to treat specially?
As long as you're previously existing customers have trust in your business product and services they will always patronize you no matter what happens but the new customers have serious trust issues so you need to work on them very well.

So in conclusion we should treat every customer well but special preference must be given to the most loyal of them. Though it might sound improper, but it is the best thing to do as a businessperson.

As far as I am concerned I will treat both customers equally anyday anytime because you may not know we're you will meet the both customers one day, they can all bring more customers to your through their referrals.
