Where do you work?
The arts and crafts store, Michaels. I worked five days this week, but only got 4 hours a day making a total of 20 hours this week. I'm part-time with those types of hours, of course. I have another part-time job, but it's almost like I've been laid off or something because they never give me work orders anymore.

It sucks that you're not getting anymore hours at your other job. :\ At least you've got the job at Michaels though so that's something.

That double sucks, are you taking any medications to help reduce the symptoms?
Yeah, I am. Went to urgent care on Tuesday and was able to get Tamiflu. It's helped quite a bit but it's still been a bit rough. Having to try and stay away from my daughter has been the toughest thing because my wife can't be off work the entire time so I'm having to try and manage with her and myself at the same time. :(

Glad you at least have a remedy for it.

That's terrible when you have to try and stay away from your own family to not spread the sickness.

We have inventory this week at my job. This will be my first time doing inventory for my store, I did help with inventory with another store once.
Oh I don't miss the days of inventory lol. I remember most of the time inventory would fall on a day where I didn't usually work when I worked at Walmart so I didn't have to worry about it much, but then there would be some rare days where they would schedule me on inventory day and I literally couldn't do much of anything since I couldn't stock the dairy products since they needed to be counted.
*hugs back* I need to log back into Off Topix more often. :S

Well, it's over now and in a duration of working on it here and there for three days, we finished early on the third day. I was allowed to clock out 2 hours before the end of my shift was scheduled. It was just the employees that worked there working on it for the first two days, then we had a whole team of people come in from different stores to assist us on the third day. It took about 6 hours today to do the parchment paper alone, where you have 12 displays of paper and you have to count how much paper there is in each slot. That was tedious.

Yeah, I remember the days of inventory at Walmart where they had a whole team dedicated to just doing inventory come in due to the sheer size of the store. At Michaels, the employees all work together to do inventory for the store.

We have two trucks instead of one next week due to getting no truck on inventory week, and my boss said we'll probably get an "inventory" truck soon enough that will be huge. I remember the grocery trucks at Walmart were generally 1500 - 2500 pieces, but soon after inventory, we had a grocery truck that was about 5000+ pieces.

That's my random retail musings for the day.
