Should Staff Work More Than They Are Paid?

No! For what? But we have seen companies and organization where they pay little but heavy work load on their staff.
Quote of the day:
Work and pray as been the phrase to encourage people for years! and that be said is true! Always work and pray

Yes in many business the staff work more than they paid. I think in many private sector the workers work very hard . I think it is very stressful for the workers. Because private sector are very stick in rules and regulations. The owner of the institution should that he give rewards to his worker so that they continue their work.

An employee should not work more for less pay, he or she should be paid accordingly to his working hours. Instead organisation should reaward it hard working customers so as to encourage them to keep up the good work and motivate them.

Answering the question on Should Staff Work More Than They Are Paid? Yes, a staff is supposed to work more than they are paid because, their hard work is gonna pay one day, maybe when he creates his own company or can be rewarded with a raise in the company where he's working

I don't think there is anything wrong in staff working more than they are paid because it may give them opportunities tomorrow. If you're hard-working you can be recommended to a bigger company and of course your pain increased because of your diligence and hard work.

A staff can decide to work more than he is been paid for. Initially,it might seem as if nobody is seeing his efforts but his efforts will get rewarded some day. No effort is a waste. While working extra hours or extra duty,he is gaining experience in other areas different from his field.

The Equal Pay Act doesn't allow your employer to pay you less than a coworker doing a similar job. Congress passed the EPA in 1963, mostly to ensure that women earn the same pay rates as men doing similar work. However, the law protects both genders.

The job description of every staff Is spelled out the moment he gets a job in any company. This is usually directly proportional to the pay he receives and his certifications. However, is it appropriate for any staff in any business or company to be working more than he gets paid. Can he volunteer to do more that what was designed for him to do?
Working beyond what you are required and paid for isn't bad but it has to do with the personality involve. If you are the type that measure out with monetary pay then sticking to your work routine isn't bad. If you are the diligent type who just love getting things done irrespective of the pay, good for you.

This is one of the bone of contention in most factory set up, most factory workers don't like working over time due to the strenuous activities involved when it comes to a factory setting, however it should be there sole aim of all employee to wish for the progress of his source of income and sometimes overtime needed to be done So as to put things in place

He believes he loves this job and he knows his extra effort will be recognized for today or in the potential before an employee works longer than he is paid to. It reflects diligence and loyalty to the business and this should be rewarded so that everyone can do their utmost to develop the company. However, in fact, there is no way that you can compare the money charged for the job that I am paying for.

I'm not at all in support of the discussion that staff should work more than they are paid because time is money. Everyone must value his or her time. If the negotiation beteeen a business or organization is 5 hours service, the employee should work for the five hours and if there is an additional minutes, he should be paid for it

Yes a staff can decide to work more than what is being paid it might be stressful but all this effort will be rewarded if not in the same company recommendation can even come from other people that have seen what he or she has done. This type of effort /hardwork prepare someone for a greater opportunity

Possibly, but its pretty rare for a staff to work more than their pay.

Working as a business should be mutual between both the employer and their employees and in order to maintain fairness, everyone should work within their job descriptions as it would mean that the workplace is equal and everyone knows what is expected of them.

The answer to the question you asked should staff work more than they are paid is yes because if you work hard and put more effort you will be rewarded at work oneday but It might not be soon, but you will surely be rewarded

No, not at all, but they are compelled and forced to do so. But it should not be happen. If you as a manager wants more work then pay more they are also human beings so they need rest and are not to supposed for more work than they are paid so simply you should give extra for extra work that's it

As we jobs come they asked about requirements of work i think employee do work which is necessary for them and they follow the instructions about work and staff don't do more work if company needs over time then they pay more for it and working hours increase.

according to my own point of view, I don't think staff should work more than they are being paid they should be paid according to how they have worked. and allowance should also be given to them just like medical allowance house allowance children allowance

This is the prayer of most employers. If the pasdion of an employee matches what the company does then employee might work more than they are being paid. However, in most cases, employees underperformance is related to low compensation. In rare cases are high performance to low compensation.
If employeed are under paid, motivation such as appreciation can help boost employees performance

Making a staff to over work mre than they are paid is absolutely rubbish and pure wickedness, if they are been use to over work, they should be over paid or that should attract more more pay or extra allowance. Making staff over work is like you are taking advantage of them.
