Over staffing definitely would be detrimental to a business because they would probably be paying more to workers than they probably should and this would definitely have an effect on the output, there are also advantages of overstaffing too no doubt

This is not a good practice at all. Having more than the number of staffs an organization can cater for only runs down such organization because of the burden on cost of running it. It is counter productive

One of the major reasons of business failure is over staffing. If your business is over staffed, you have high running cost, high running cost means, your expenses are high

There is no business out there that will want to be spending more than is necessary for paying of it's staffs. If a business is over staffed, the simple effect is that it runs the business aground

Nearly all the companies I worked for were understaffed. In my last job as a chef in a care home I was rushing around doing the work of two people because they cut back on staff so much. Supermarkets are even worse, they never have enough staff. I don't think I ever worked anywhere that was overstaffed.

Yes, over staffing is a major issue today, sometimes it leads to economic bankruptcy for the business or company that indulge in that. We need to employ workers mainly to execute task in the company and not overcrowding workers and paying in excess.

Most public organisations/institutions always experience such because when the have a particular person as the head of the organisation, the tend to flood in people they know. If this happens in a private establishments, it can crumble the organisation.

Sometimes overstaffing is not good for an organisation because it makes most of the work are lazy without no tax for you to carry out in a particular office or less that it makes you as a worker restless and lazy.

Over staffing is a big problem in many companies. Over staffing means having more staff than the company actually requires. Does anyone realize, some people create a vacancy in the company just to accommodate their relatives into the company? This kind of act creates over staffing.
Well some over staffing in some companies affect the growth of a company, no matter how well visioned the company is, it will crumble due to over staffing...

In my experience I have noticed the over staffing when the company is growing. Usually a request for additional personnel has to be reviewed by a panel of HR and other managers. But when the company has a surge in growth almost all requests for added manpower is immediately approved. In the long run there will be units that are over staffed.

Running a business with over staffing will not improve the performance of the company as there will too much duplication of work and some staffs will be redundant while collecting salary. It will increase the company cost of labour and which can lead to the company running to a loose.

Guys, do you realize in many countries, mostly developing economies, politics also provide job opportunities and political appointments can create overstaffing.
It is a fact. You see a political office holder with an amount of aids working for him. These aids are mere compensation by this political office holder, not because the office of the aids are relevant in any way

Ovesrtaffing in my nation just occurs in the central government works, privately owned business can never have over staff specialist beacuse they are in the wake of making benefits and they are cautious with staff choices, however in the public authority settings, a few group really makes space for their family members even thou they realize they needn't bother with laborers right now.

It is very uncommon in private sector to have overstaffing. Private sectors always think of how how to utilize judiciously what they have. That's why it is hard for them to employ a redundant workers.

This is why government agencies are struggling as they pay much more salary than they should be paying. Also, most of the overstaffed workers do create nuisance as they work halfheartedly since they know they got the job by virtue of an influential person who will protect them from getting sacked.

Concerning over staffing. Well, overstaffing is a scheme established for corrupt act. People in power get to employ people especially relatives with no specific post of duty and this causes over crowding in the office and also excess payment. That is why it is necessary to have Human resources and financial managers

It happens unfortunately, but with good management, you probably will never have to deal with it. I don't hire a lot of people. I only hire people based off of work I need done.

Well, in reply to your question in the above post concerning overstaffing, i would like to let you know that i am hearing this word overstaffing and I would like to think that overstaffing can do damage to your business or venture or the likes

It is very important for any business to have the number of required staff in order to run a successful business. when you have too much number of stuff you may not have the money to pay all of them.
