Over staffing

Well, for every business, you would need to have staff that would work for you especially if you can't run the business all alone by yourself. But when you over staff, you will have too much expenses.

That's very true ,too much overstaffing could actually affect specialisation and even cause over crowd in the business , because the person would not know how to select duties anymore ,it would be difficult

When the pandemic started over staffing became an issue with the fast food outlets. They had to cut their labor force by 50% and the business operates on the so called skeletal force. The business suffered with the quality of food because the staff have been working on a rotation basis that everyone had become flexible with the duties.

The issue of over-staffing can be viewed in two angle, one, from the point of view of employer, two from the point of view of employee. An employer might thing there are already too many staff members, where as the employees might think they have workload due to limited staff.

I think this was a problem until before the pandemic. During and after the pandemic, a lot of companies downsized after realising that they could achieve same set goals with lesser number of people.

Overstaffing is a reason why indigenous airline shutdown in my country. it was estimated that over 600 people are working for an aeroplane which is too much. A lot of money is being wasted on paying salary that are not meant to be.

I know this is wha happened , but at the end of everything, the business owner will still have to pay all those people he or she has employed into the business. This is not our business in

Most times this is always as a result of improper planning and business execution. Every business organisation must have plans and preparation of what they needs to do , this will guide them on the number of employees they are to employed at a time.

I understand your point because I also witnessed it , a lot of private organisation reduced their workers during the pandemic because they realises they have more workers to pay , but government never reduces their over staffed workers .

That is good when employing a staff in company you should know the number of staff that can suits the business, and also the number you can afford to pay because one can never employ what you cannot afford to pay.

Actually over staffing has caused so much danger to alot of companies making them incapable of meeting up to there financial targets. some are fone intentionally by the top officials.

private company can never have over staff worker beacuse they are after making profits and they are careful with staff selections, but in the government settings, some people actually creates space for their relatives even thou they know they don't need workers at the moment.

Truth be told I think Over staffing is a big problem in government bodies in my home country. There are over 1100 elected members (local administration, federal parliament, and central parliament). This is a bug number in a small country with a small land area

That's true, but in my own idea I don't think employing too much staffs is very important,if you are starting up with the business for the very first time it will not be a good idea to employ a lot of staff's.

That is true but depends on the government sector you are talking about . Over here in terms of the educational sector I don't think there are so many staff members if you have to compare it to the huge number of teaching responsibilities available for teachers to do.

Well I think that depends on the company,if you have a big company you will need a good number of workers, but if you're starting for the very first time I'll advise you to employee a little number of people.

Overstuffing can cause a little chaos in business and all this happen due some discrimination and mostly happens in the government business for real

You have a point there,if you are starting up a business for the very first time you are expected to know what you are doing, employing a lot of people might be a problem.

People find it hard to believe but then it is still possible that you can be over staffed. This is a situation whereby the amount of staff you are having is more than the amount of revenue in which you are getting

This is by no means a good practice. An organization cannot function well if it has more employees than it can support due to the pressure on operating costs. It serves no useful use.
