True tho, an organization or company should have a period meeting where such things should be discussed. But i have also seen cases whereby some changes occurs unexpectedly even before such meetings and an emergency one could not take place.According to my own point of view, as an organisation they are supposed to have a weekly meeting or monthly. at this meeting it is very possible for you to talk and advise your workers motivate them and teach them how to go along with their work
I was also one of the victims that was laid of as the result of the pandemic last year and it hasn't been easy since then, we were laid off without any money to start afresh, but i was able to start a business of my own while some are still out there struggling.I remember an organization that was affected by the pandemic last year, the company suffered a big loss and there was no forthcoming deals the owner was in between laying off staffs or using personal funds to continue, sometimes business may take an unexpected turn which is why employers should be prepared for the worst and how to handle people working for him because those people have their own lives, families etc
