Yeah, I hardly ever see any site that is set up that was designed for balance. I imagine if it starts taking off, moderation will be fun on it as those two items always tend to get heated.

That's one of the reasons I decided on NodeBB on it. It was a spur of the moment decision as I was talking with another admin about rebranding and saw some domain names that got me to thinking.
Allows up/down voting, and that voting can have an impact on what is seen. In addition, the downvoting is not cost free. Every time you downvote, it removes points from your reputation. Once your each below a certain point, you can no longer downvote. You get downvoted enough you cannot upvote/downvote anyone.
