It is somewhat shocking that Managing Directors feel it is only right for Human Resources Persons (HR) to possess people management skills as if they (MD) are not supposed to be well equipped with this particular skill.

What's your take as an individual on this?

One of the things manager should be able to handle very well is how to handle people, he should be able to lead, manage, coordinate, and perform every other management skills as spelt out by Henry fayol. Management skills required great work

I think it's important to have the scare either he is manager all the customer because if he has not blessed with the skills I don't think so that he can move his company and work there if he is qualified educated and well experience and skilful he can very well manage everything properly with calm and patience so he can manage everything whatever is required

In everybody it must be in the manager as well to manage the company requirement and the employees both.

Managers who work in small firms and enterprises need to have the capacity to handle employees in order to do their jobs efficiently. Many firms use a system of hierarchical organizations that allows administrators or bosses to supervise others' jobs. Therefore, to complete separate tasks, these administrators must oversee and organize the activities of others.

Robert Katz identifies three types of skills that are essential to a successful management process: technical skills, visual skills and. Human or mutual management skills.

A managing director also needs this skill, because it is expected that he/she will also relate with staff and customers, most likely he or she would have taken this training before rising to the position of managing director.

yes I believe the skill is very important because in any business organisation one is engaging his or herself there is a possibility for you to meet a lot of people from different backgrounds and you must be ready to manage them because there's some that considers what you do as an offence and there are some that they may consider their behaviour as an offence.

People management is a very important aspect in business and needs to be done with caution. Managing people is an administrative skill on its and it determines the relationship between staff and the working output and input of the business.

People management skill is one of the requirements of a manager to run a successful business or company, how you interact with customers and your employees goes a long way in determining the success of your business.

Yes peoples management is a very important skills for managers and not just for managers, anybody who have one or two people working under him or her. Some bosses or directors to know how to manage humans at all, they feel superior any time they get to the top and that's bad

People management skills is a necessity for every manager. This is because a manager has a lot of responsibility to take up in managing all the sections in the company. He is in charge of managing the employees and customers and other people involved in the business transaction.

This is not a matter of should but a matter must. Every manager or business owner or director should have the ability (skill sets) to manage conflicts among the employees with discretion and in a very strategic manner that will not be too offensive.

As for me that's what majority of company's nowadays doing and to me it's very wrong and if I may ask what the function of the MD in the company of he's not allowed to also cross check or ask the person few questions to know him better and know the kind of person he want for the company

The ability to manage people is a crucial prerequisite to becoming a manager. Hence, it is mandatory for all managers to have the skills to coordinate and manage people as it is what will determine the production level in the business. A good manager should manage people without any form of loopholes.
