How does it feel to fire someone?

Managers or business owners, how does it feel like to discipline an employee and then ultimately fire them? Do you feel emotional, especially if you're losing a friend? Business and friends/family should be kept separate for this reason.
This is the reason why it is very important to never get too attached to the employees. when you are too attached to the employees it will be very difficult to take necessary action as you will never want to disrupt the relationship on ground.

When we are starting a business ,we must have had a business before that we were doing to generate the profit we are using to establish the new one ,we still need to keep to that one even when this one is successful.
We should start up a business we are well suited with. Starting up a business that isn't well suited, can make us slumber in the future, passion drives.

It feels bitter for someone losing his or her work after faltering in the company, or when the company deem he or she surplus to requirements.

That is why it is always advisable for you to try as much as possible to maintain more than one source of income, having this in mind set will help you on the best thing to do even when you have a company.

Yes,it also feel bitter to see your business crumble because of bad and unproductive workers. Business owners shouldn't fire workers without concrete reasons and workers should not neglect their duties.

Yes, all should work according to the right procedure. The employer is an integral part of the business together with the employees. That's why everyone needs to be careful during their respective duties.

Yes,I will only feel bad for a sacked employee if it's as a result of bad office politics or situations above his control. The employer has every right to sack a lacklustre employee who affects his business negatively.

Yes, employer has every right to sack an employee that isn't working to the standard of his or her company. When their is too many negative reports tabled against the employee, the owner takes action that won't be pleasing to the affected employee.

I've never been in a position to sack someone before, but when an employee really want to take life out of me as a boss,I don't think I have the mind to sack,I will rather ask another senior colleague to do the needful.

What happens when you are the most senior colleague? If you own the business the buck definitely stops with you as you are the shot caller. Some decisions are very hard but very necessary. No single employee is bigger than the company.

Well, I think it feels "not good" in a way because you know within you that you're maybe taking someone's means of survival or livelihood. But some difficult decisions are sometimes necessary for the progress of the company or business.

As business organisation should not consider to favour their employee while abandoning your business in any way, if they are serious about their means of survival they should be disciplined and follow the rules of the organisation.

It doesn't feel anything firing someone except you're saying you're feeling guilty for firing someone you know you aught not to have fired or that is not deserving of being fired

How you feel when you fire someone depends on the reasons for firing him. If the person you sacked has been a thorn on the flesh of the business, you will definitely feel relieved for firing him.

Making this kind of decision should not be attached with emotions or feeling. So far the staff isn't Meeting up to expectations or doing what is not expected of him or her the best thing is to fire the person

It is will feel very sad for one to be fire a person, that person will never be happy, before a business owner can fire a person the must do something wrong.
Most times it doesn't feel right when you fire someone from work it's affect your emotion but you will not allow emotions to run your business so you have to do what you have to do when the neat call for it.

I have never been in such a position to fire someone but if what the employee did is grievous to the business which can be injurious to the business then it's better for such employee to go and I will not feel bad about it if I am the owner of the business.

To relieve someone's source of income is not easy to do. I will feel bad even though I have no business that I am managing right now. It will take courage to do that but I believe it is for the good of the business.

Sacking someone in a business is something that is not easy for the employer because the person will always see him as an enemy and also he might be the bread winner.

To some people it shows some level of power while some people don't want to do it but have to do it maybe because it's order from above or they can't just allow the person bring them down

It will be hard to say the feeling of firing someone because I have not been in that position to fire someone before.but I really think it takes courage to fire someone because you have to put various things into play and consider placing the person out of his needs

I have never gotten a company or business that I will employ other workers. But to fire a person, that will be difficult for me because I will be thinking that how will the person be able to sustain himself. But I will like it if the person resigned
