@Kamon c4 now you get my point the CEO duty is now to mediate, take care of supply and give them the mental support of a boss and a brotherly understanding. I once worked with a staff, he delivers his A always whenever I assign a task or a project to him. Although, his pay was not increased at that time I myself was marvelled how could he be active more than those with higher take home. I didn't ask anybody but I overheard some fellow staff gossiping about his behavior too that he always deliver because he doesn't want to disappoint me, because I took him like a brother and advice him on how to improve himself. Same way I talk and relate with other staff. Even if others don't want to deliver because of how I relate with them, they will deliver because a fellow staff will do a perfect job with lesser productive hours spent on the job.

Each workplace will have a unique way of boosting or breeding a healthy competition in the workplace. Setting targets with attached benefits is one way to boost their moral. Rewarding them openly and reprimanding them in the inside is one way as well.

It’s what they get paid for but you improved the competition by picking the most productive side and that decision is definately in the interest of the company. Though this may generate jealousy but it’ll improve the productivity of the company

You can create a friendly competition between your employees by rewarding them or giving them an incentive if they reached the quota. This will encourage them and the productivity in your business will increase. It's a win-win situation.

I think creating a healthy competition among your employees is a good thing for one it would increase the output and sales of your busines. You can do so by engaging your employees in a friendly competition, set a prize for the winner of the day or week, depending on how much work he or she has done, you can give them a challenge which will make them take the work so serious Nd you should reward based on hardwork, punctuality and dedication.

Creating Healthy Competition at Work
Make it Fun. Work is naturally competitive: Everyone wants to do well in his or her job, be recognized and get promoted. ...
Monitor the Effects. ...
Compete in Teams. ...
Encourage Competing with Yourself. ...
Stay Focused on the End Goal. ...
Provide a Reasonable Reward.

Some research studies suggest suchcompetition can motivate employees, make them put in more effort, and achieve results. Indeed, competition increases physiological and psychological activation, which prepares body and mind for increased effort and enables higher performance.

You can create a roundtable of discussion every fortnight or once a month.A sort of a family Sunday dinner (blue bloods comes to mind here) This roundtable can have some game activities embedded init and also time for each staff to talk about a bit of what they ve improved on or things they are fighting off either in personal life or work based.A dark box where ideas or complaint are dropped also.
Then of course a refreshment time.
All these work towards bonding and creating food atmosphere in the work place .

Your friend took a good strategy there ,and am glad it worked. As for me , I believe incentives are good way to improve healthy competition. Just ensure that the price were given to the workers at the presence of other workers ,so that they will be motivated .

I once read a book authored by Dale carnegie titled— ‘How to win friends and influence people’. In that book he made mentioned that a student of his narrated to the class on how he boosted production at his workplace. The student said he noticed a decline in the production and he was losing money. Instead of him to reprimand his workers, he didn’t do that. He ordered a chalkboard and placed it where all his workers can see it on a daily basis. At the end of each working session, he writes the numbers of production on the chalkboard. He rubs off the previous Number and write the present one. He said he noticed a massive increase the production rate and his business started booming.
Notice he didn’t condemn his workers for the decline instead he created a healthy competition without sacking or spending much.

My question now is; How do you create a healthy competition in your work place?
It is very necessary to have cordial relationship with your employees and you can create healthy competition among them by giving them bonus for their hard work and achievements.
In this way all the workers will work more hard for the progress of your company.

To promote healthy competition in your organization, practice these strategies. Teach and promote healthy conflict. Competition can create conflict between and among employees. Reward your best performers. Set stretch goals. Give honest performance feedback. Find opportunities to play.

A healthy competition inspires the employees to do their best. When students compete, they will become more inquisitive, research and independently. They will strive to do more than required.

Creating healthy competitions between employees is good, it helps boost their moral and it helps them work very effectively. You simply create healthy competitions by rewarding those whose performance were great and outstanding.

Competition is one of the most efficient ways to improve in anything you do in life. Though competition may brew some negativity but it’s ideal to keep it healthy in order to increase productivity of a company.

The word healthy there is key to the kind of competition we are addressing. Well, creating healthy competition among staffs could be achieved by giving extra funds or commission to anyone who completes the task as ordered. The price tag thing is what can catch them to be healthily competitive.

You thought excellent topic for discussion. We can do that by rewarding outstanding performance. You simply set targets and whoever meets or exceeds them is rewarded. Sometimes it doesn't even have to be monetary - where I used to work, my line manager would sometimes say whoever emerges ahead of the pack gets to work a half day on a Friday. We should always create such type of tools on regular basis.

Creating a healthy competition among workers is very important for improved output. This can be achieved by giving them a target, and creating a level playing field to work towards achieving the target, anyone that met the target should be handsomely rewarded to serve as motivation to others.

just like you said, you can make a target that the workers can reach and in the end, if it has reached it, it will be rewarded with something. that something should be motivating enough for them not to be taken lightly.
Exactly, you are right, how to make an healthy competition among your employees to make them put in their best or perform well , you can use reward system, recognize those that are actually meeting up targets, applaud them in a new and then reward them with gifts or increase in pay or promotion, with this you ginger others to work harder

Hmm... I think he applied wisdom from there, which is good. I discovered that humans tends to wake up by challenge and u discovered that what a snail can do a tiger cannot do. Everybody have their own area of specialty u just need a boost to wake it up.
