Beauty salon or Barbers

I think both barbing saloon and beauty saloon are interwoven anyway both of them are lucrative job if you equipped them with modern tools that could made the job effective and attractive to customers
But I think barbing saloon business is more lucrative its give one access to make side money offline mostly after you have sited it in a good and better area where the business will be moving thou both business is still good and favour both gender

In my setting, both the Beauty salon and Barbershop is for both gender. Men and women go to the beauty salon for their upkeep as well as they go to the Barbershop. There are women who are low cut and both businesses and lucrative especially if the business is situated in a favourable location.

In my new country there is plenty of barbers, hair dressers and beauty salons. It appears they open new ones on a daily basis. For ex., the road where I live, not more than a mile long, has 4 or 5 hair dressers salons and a barber salon. These are lucrative businesses here, because people tend to even lavish money when it comes for hair and beauty.

I write this thread, because in my country they are different businesses. I want to know how profitable it is in your country and if they are different businesses. In my country, Beauty Salons are businesses where both ladies and gentlemen go to cost their hair, comb it, perform hair grafts with professional stylists.
In the case of barbershops, it is usually only for men, where haircuts, beards, mustaches and the like are made.
How does it work in your country? What is so profitable?
Yes it's a profitable business. Although beauty salon and barbers shop almost seems so similar but with a little different. Beauty saloon might be handling more professional jobs like pedicure, manicure, piercing, tattoos etc. While barbers shop are restricted only to hairstyle making and cutting.

In my community , the salon that contain both beauty salon and barber shop is not common , and its a very lucrative business which involves fixing of nails , pedicure and manicure, barbing , settings e.t.c

Excellent, it's good to know that in your area, both beauty salons and barbershops are unisex, since they cater to any gender, which makes them sources of profit without limitations, as long as they are professional.

You are right @Pousinha, in my country they also have that waste of money when it comes to hair, both hairdressers and beauty salons are always with many customers. In some cases, you have to call and make an appointment to be seen.

That is the major difference between the two sites, the services you describe are only found in beauty salons, so far I do not know of any similar case in hairdressing salons.

The barbing salon is only for men and in that case the income is not like that of the beauty salon .

Beauty salon is mostly for women and the is the most profitable business and sometimes even the men go to the beauty salon.

I think beauty salons for women are more profitable than barbershops for men. Beauty salons also offer makeup, pedicure, manicure, rebonding, straightening, and other hair styling services. On the other hand, barbershops mostly offer hair cut. Hair cuts and hairstyling for women are mostly done by skilled hairdressers and are difficult to DIY. Men's haircut is much simpler and can be learned and done at home. That's how I deduced that beauty salons are generally more profitable.

I can’t even choose one among the two again because I believe both the two are profitable and nowadays people are into the two businesses and they are really enjoying it
Yes. Both of them are quite lucrative. The beauty salons are mostly patronized by women and the barbing salon by most men. These days, beauty salons have incorporated manicure, pedicure, make up and even a spa to bring in more customers.

There is hardly a street in my city that you would not find either a beauty salon or a barbing salon.
A lot of people are taking up the venture because it is lucrative and in high demand.
The services never run out.

In my city it is also something similar, in any corner you can find a professional hairdresser or beauty salon.
To have a good demand and generate high income, you must have good skills and in turn please the clientele in their tastes.

We don't have that problem. Whether you're a man or a woman, you can go to any salon where they give you makeup or manicure, regardless of gender. I graduated from http://www.nwcollege.edu, and now I work in a salon where people come to get their beards fixed, and their hair done for weddings. Everyone wants to feel prettier and happier. So we don't have any divisions. We are happy to accommodate and serve everyone. Maybe in some countries, this is not possible because of religious issues? I don't see any other obstacles.

Hello @sWEENguY, there are no limitations, they are options that I propose in the topic, there are different attentions according to the country, some separate ladies from gentlemen according to their professionalism in hairdressing, some are specialists in gentlemen and others in ladies; however, there is the possibility for the most experienced, those who can work regardless of gender.
In the latter case, a unisex hairdressing salon is opened.

The majority of people think is women are more specialist than men in the case of hairdressing for women this is what people are thinking regardless of competence of each one what we call previous backgrounds.

Here too, Beauty salons and Barber shops are different. They are very profitable business as hair grooming services cannot be done easily at home, so most people often visit beauty salon and barbershop. Specially during weekends, the flow of customers hikes up even more.
In our country Pakistan, both the businesses run a lot. If you go to the barber shop it will charge you less And if you go to beauty salon , they charge more than barber shop Beauty salon work brings more profit in our country.

Yes, that is correct when you make mention of background, this leads people to think in many cases wrong @saoussen5765, because the reality is that both professional men and women are very competitive.
In my country famous stylists are more than all men, however, there are women who are not famous and do exceptionally well.

Hello dear, Thank you for posting this thread. I've been in salon industry for almost 6 years of my life. And as you said on your post. Here in Philippines, it's the same. Barbershops just do the works for men's hair, including styling and massage. And for the Salon both men and women services are offered. Some Salon combined their businesses with Spa too.

I'm glad to know that you work professionally in hair services, it's a branch that although I don't work in it, I love it.
This is a very lucrative profession and constantly in demand, when you are good at the services you offer the profits will always be there.

Both beauty salons abd barber shops are highly lucrative business that you'll never regret going into. But as far as I'm concerned, I'll definitely choose beauty salons because females really very cherish this the most

I will prefer doing both business at a time if I have the opportunity, both barbing saloon and beauty saloon business can be started together as unisex saloon where you can combine barbing and beauty saloon business together
