The biggest reason why a company loses its best employees is because they treat their employees like slaves and never pay their salary on time. They treat their employees badly and breach the employee agreement that was formed at the time of hiring. I have been working with such a company, and I plan to leave very soon.

These may be as a result of various reasons, it is not always the fault of the organization, there is no way they can satisfy everyone, employees can leave of their own volition, when they get a better offer.

When employees speak up on a particular issue, project or risk at work do managers even care to listen!
What good is there to having meetings involving your employees, asking for advice on a certain project, asking what could be improved in the company, if you’ll just end up doing it your way? Sure, as a manager, you need to be able to make a decision and settle matters but listening to your employees at all time makes a difference. When decision making is inclusive, employees do their best to achieve the company's aim. If otherwise, they quit their job and look for a company that respect their views and listen to employees complains and contribution.

It depends on the type of organization or manager, this is not a general thing. When I was a manager I listen to staff's complaints and work on it. And that's why their performance was always at optimum levels

In having a good relationship between employer and employee, managers and other staffs is very essential for business. Involve employees in company problems during meetings and accommodate various opinions, when employees feel loved, the will work as a family.
And the employee who is very good at his work would also want to be independent to perform his own duties as a boss because he knows he can't be really valued working for someone.

Well, this is something that cannot be easily controlled or curbed. Every employee would wish to grow themselves. And they will only do this by taking up new challenges. So as long as the current job is not challenging enough, the employee will seek other opportunities outside their current job.

There are so many factors that make some companies loose their best employee which are. Firstly, some employee get a better place that where they are so they have to leave. Secondly some companies don't pay their best employee very well so they decide to leave for a better place.

If you're not comfortable working for a company, based on the low pay rate or the manner the employer treats his or her employees then you have every right to quit. I can't work where I'm not feeling happy, or comfortable at.

Apart from not considering their ideas in your decision makings, it is imperative to review benefits of employees over the years because of the competition out there. Many brilliant employees have moved on to better opportunities and pay because of this.

The major reasons why experienced and resourceful employees leaves an organization usually comes down to two things, which are working conditions and remuneration. If the working conditions is not okay and the contributions of the staff is not appreciated enough by the organization, it usually leads to such staff moving to another company where he/she believes will be treated better.

A company will lose his best employee if it does the following, one talk down on the person some employers are always quick to talk down on the employees, secondly late payment of wages or salaries this kind lead to losing a staff, thirdly no increment or raise in salary even when due, denial of promotion

That's that, we go for better paying and well suited job. Sometimes its not all about payment, it is sometimes about satisfaction. You need to be happy first where you work before you talk about money.

Companies have in time past and even presently loose their best employees because of a simple fact that their management team and mostly their human resources management lack what is called foresight in encouraging and training these most priced human resources

Job satisfaction is very important but from experience it gets frustrating when it is accompanied with a low pay. It is easier to stick with a company when you know they can't afford better pay than stick to a company that capitalizes on the fact that you enjoy your work, so, you don't deserve a raise even when it can afford it.

I got your points right. It doesn't make sense to stick to a company that makes money with your services and never wanted to reward you a dime. Just because you are passionate for doing jobs for them without minding the reward. Sticking to the low pay rate that can't afford pay rise is better off than the other.

I doubt if a good company that take good care of their staff lose staff unnecessary to any other company. The only reason why an employee leaves is when they have established themselves and the new establishment needs their presence in person.

Okay, that's also one of the reasons. An employee can't just leave a company that is meeting up his or her payment every time. Maybe factors like the one you quoted resulted in making such quit his present company.

The mistakes most managers make is that they believe that employees are to work in the company and think their opinions and views is not really needed. I think this is the main reason why companies loose thier best employees

@Nicklas22 I agree with you on this. But not necessarily with a gift or increase their salary. Best employees should be recognized and appreciated even with words. A word of appreciation will encourage them to do more.
You are absolutely right @maventiger , "not necessarily with a gift or salary increase" an employee is kept, there are other reasons that in the end can make him decide to resign from the company. As you describe it well, the words of gratitude, recognition and value as a human being are of the utmost importance.

It can be really annoying to see the mabagement just downsize and belittle their employees even if the management initiated the discussion just like the employees are not relevant it is why i would become an employer to change things.
