Qualities of the position of Manager or Boss in a company

The qualities of a boss have to an extent an effect it plays towards the success of the business. It is therefore expected that a boss should be humble, considerate ,kind and able to run the affairs of the business
Considerate is the most important to me because so many complaints about the boss being rude or impolite is commonly heard in offices. When the boss is considerate he can get angry at the mistake but not mad at the employee. It is important to maintain the respect to the subordinates at all times.

First off, a good manager knows the entire business including the details of the operation. He should be fair in his dealings particularly with subordinates which means there is no favoritism. He should also be considerate but it is all right to be strict with the regulations and in the implementation of policies. The most important trait of the manager is the dedication to his job that he comes early to work.
Yea I totally agree with you that a good manager must be a person that really knows and understand the entire business so that he will know what to do and what not to do in the business

Do you believe that it is normal for manager in a business should be humble ? I believe that people can use this position against them,I don't see the need for anyone as a leader to be humble here but should always make sure that everybody obeys the rules and regulation.

A humble person knows his own limitations and weaknesses, which makes a manager human and kind to his employees. He must know how to correct these in the proper way, since it is the best way to achieve what is desired with the employees and their results.

Yeah but sometimes workers do take their employers humility as weakness and thus disrespect them . This is when employers can treat them as they deserve

Your point of view is also true, the theory is the should be, but the practice is different. Many times I have thought that managers lose their way when they ascend to these positions, many lose the human side.
 
The manager has a lot of activities to handle in a business organisation and as a result for the most important skill that a manager should have is the ability to organise and plan out how to succeed in a business organisation ,and also the willingness to carry every members of the organisation along.

if someone really want to be a manager the person should learn so much about business management because it is not just about going to business and becoming bossy over the employee,you really need to know your responsibility as a business manager all the time.
 
Someone who is given the responsibility or position of the manager or boss or whatever position of authority in a company must be that he is a team player and one that carries everyone of the employees along.

Of course, business administration is fundamental in the position of manager, without this knowledge you should not exercise these functions. Lack of knowledge will make the management not positive, and may even lead the company to failure.
 
The manager serve as an example to the workforce. He or she is punctual, speaks nicely and not rudely. Also, a boss should be flexible in learning on not on his or her own ideas only.
I definitely agree with you with that the manager says as an example to the workforce because is the head of the organisation and so many employees look up to him for direction and guidance in the course of their job and even in their attitude to work so it is very necessary for one to get a very good manager for the business.

Yes, there is nothing wrong with seeking the opinion of your employees. This is because experienced employees who have experience related to your work can provide great feedback and solutions to the problems your business might be facing.
