I don't see any difference between the two terms. Whatsoever business you're doing, you're investing in it, and you're expecting profit in return. There is no difference between them.

There is a clear difference between investment and business in the sense that investment is a money scheme business that a person ventured into to bring money and while business is the set up of an individual enterprises or government enterprises to make profit.

Business and investment seems so close in some aspect because it all based on profit, investment is when you put your money into something and your money is working and yielding for you while you are sleeping but in business , you put your money , concentration and effort into the business and you monitor it.
