That's how it was here too. I live in Missouri and I believe you live in Illinois so the heatwave and storms that came through my state are probably the same weather patterns that came along your neck of the woods too lol. Today felt a ton better than yesterday for sure!

Yep. Southern Illinois here, right on the Ohio in Metropolis. We got that heat dome thing, I think. I heard it'll be hot and humid for a while!!

It currently is 88 degrees outside but it feels like 95. I'm only going outside to bring the trash can up front and that's it lol, I hate this weather. Thank god it'll cool off a bit tomorrow and Tuesday, so my week back to work won't be as hot as it has been.

It’s 89 degrees today, but it's raining off and on. We're supposed to be hit by Hurricane Beryl tomorrow.

Yeah, my area is scheduled to be right in the path of Beryl. Will be the second time in about 25 years (of my 50 years of memory) that we've had a tropical storm/depression pass over our area. The last one caused a lot of local flooding and we are forecast between 10-15 inches of rain possible. They have already issued area flood warnings for us.

We got hit and lost power for about 30 hours smh. That really sucked. There’s still a lot of people that haven’t got their power back on yet smh. I don’t think I’ve seen so many long lines at the gas stations like I did yesterday.

It sounds like that one year Texas got hit by a major ice storm and all the power went out everywhere. I remember working in the dark at Walmart with flashlights.
