We all know that there are times that issues may arise in the working environment or business between employees or even partners, I would like to know what methods are employed to resolve disputes in the work place and also to ensure that conflicts are minimized.

It's not easy to come to a truce with someone. Still, it needs to be done and that's the way it is, in every business. Everyone got their own views and ideas for a business.

We have to share them and come up with the best possible way to make the business reach the next milestone. Usually by having an open discussion, we can dissolve the conflicting ideas.
Communication is the only way to make things right. This is just my opinion.

I think most of the issues start because of stress related points, from work or home. So if you want to reduce this you have to get time to teach everyone ways to relieve stress, ways to know how to empower yourself in stressful situations.

I think it's important to take it easy and try to understand what is going bad. It's not going to help neither the employer or the employee if they keep fighting and arguing over a problem. They need to calm down, see what's going wrong and come up with helpful ways to solve their problems

By working on yourself, be emotionally detached with the situation and not reacting, not taking it personally, taking a step back and analyze, observe the situation before acting out on your emotions and thoughts. By apologizing first if you’ve done something one wrong first like I’m doing currently with my family and parents. By taking the time to think and observe the facts before doing or saying anything to someone. By staying at all times rational, logical and mindful every moment in your life with what you’re doing and saying in your workplace.

You have to be calm and relaxed. You need to get control of your emotions especially the anger. And if you are wronged report to the appropriate authorities.

I try as much from staying away from conflict by being calm and emotionally unattached to anyone. You should try it too

To minimize conflict in ones work place, you just have to tolerate each other. Look off some issues and let it pass by as if it doesn't happen at all

The best way is to call those concerned and find out what the issue is and then devise a means to solve it in a way that each of them will be happy. If one happens of be part of the issue , he should try to meet the other person and they should together come to a neutral ground

I am in total agreement with this. Most conflicts arise due to stress related issues. It is really good to train people in the workplace on how to relieve stress.
When handling the conflicts, it is best to understand the root cause and taking into account the way people feel. Caring about people's feelings makes them feel heard and that reduces the rage that makes them fight with others.

The best way to minimise conflict is to avoid conversation and stick to your job ..and also make sure not to try and separate two people fighting in your place of work cos they can implement you

As for me, I solve all problems by being calm as well as to listen
Listening is the first step in the conflict resolution process. Although it may seem simple, it is the most difficult thing for many people, especially officials who prefer to quickly overcome previous problems by avoiding confrontation or searching for a solution without delving into the topic

I have to say that I agree with you. Listening is the very first step to resolving or even avoiding conflict in the work place. It helps to avoid and resolve misunderstanding.

When I sense ongoing conflict in my work place, I immediately become the one to calm the tempo down, stop the conflict as soon as possible not to go beyond that, before the worst occur.

You have to approach every situation calmly . Always try to keep your emotions in check.

One magical way of solving disputes and misunderstanding is the word _ am sorry _ this helps a lot even when your not at fault in other for peace to reign, when you apologize the tension comes down and latter on, with a smiling face explain in detail what went wrong and you'll see how everything will be solved with peace ....... peace starts from an individual.

If there's any dispute between workers I always try making them know the best way to move forward is to let go of the past and forgive each other.

Talk things out with the person(s) you are in conflict with, if it yields no positive results, report to appropriate authorities.

Handling conflict at the place of work might not be easy as others arise due to conflict of interest. You finds that at every place of work there are those staffs whos work merits are waiting, they don't perform but when there is promotion they want to be the one to take up the posts, when a junior is promoted due to high performance, they create enemity with the promoted individuals, then there are also (we call them moles within the company) those who incite others then take a back seat and watch the happenings. It's not easy dealing with such characters. They are good at pretending.
