I had read some articles about Instagram Influencers. They are the Instagram users with 10,000 followers. Commercial sponsors would offer an Influencer a deal to promote their business for a fee. The Influencer will display the product on his palm and to post that picture on his Instagram.. that can be seen by his 10,000 followers. It is like having a tv channel with that many audience. That is how an Influencer earns in millions, just some of them and not all, I believe.
