I hiring employee that is hard working better than lazy one, lazy employee will dull the work on ground but hard working employee will make work faster,, is good for someone to hire hard working employee

If opportuned i will also employ a lazy employee too..With that, you will go a long way in helping them thereby making them serious and hardworking in the organization..Where you bombard them with Alot of work and give them a specific time to be done with it,they will definitely hurry up to finish it..Some people are good at what they do,just that they are being lazy..

Some people may appear lazy but they are very smart, that's why they will definitely use shortcut to to carry out tasks, that is them being smart, probably the employer will see a hardworking person wanting to follow the long process and trying to show that they know the work and they wasnt to do all the things that is required to carryout that task, whereas the lazy person will just use the shortcut to get it done fast, well I will say everyone with their own preference, there are some companies that would rather take a hard-working employee.

It is better to employee a hard-working employee compared to a lazy employee. A hard working employee will positively affect those around him while a lazy one would have negative impact on the co-workers.

How to deal with them: These are some of the hardest people to deal with because they may not actually be breaking any rules, but are still somehow disturbing the work environment. Consider ...

As a experience business man I will never want to employ a lazy employee in my organisation. but in the case of empty space I will prefer to employ a lazy employee that to keep the space empty, this is because I believe as soon as Time goes on the lazy employee will catch up

They’re always caught between working harder and making the solution as perfect as it can be, and taking the easy way out. If an employee can’t make a decision for toffee, you may have an overdrive-but-lazy type on your hands.

Personally i can not take chances, if you are given a job to do, as long as you can deliver at the apprioprate time with less fault you are good to go. Your personal being or behaviour should only be on your terms not mine. I am basically affected by results not emotions.

I keep asking myself why Big companies keep lazy Employees. A CEO of Top Tech company once said he will hire the laziest of all employees to do the hardest Job reason being that such employees due to their nature will device an easier way or technique to get the Job done which tend to be more effective and efficient using less productive hours. Most big companies outdere use this method to get job done because it's cost effective while maintaining the quality as specified by the job description. I once experiment this and the result was awesome ever since and I also noticed some companies have a ratio of lazy Employees they keep at work which ranges from 10% -20% of the total working employees.

If opportuned, Will you hire a lazy Employee to balance the work place?
I would never employ a lazy worker if I was opportuned to be a business owner. Lazy workers affect the morale of other workers no matter how you look at it. Lazy workers tend to make others want to be like them because the do the least amount of work and are paid the said amount as hard working staffs. It's a no brainier.

Hmmmm, there I always another side to a coin and the way we see things are different of course. Though you explain your reasons why you would employ lazy staff in your company. But have you also thought of lazy workers slowing your work or output pace as a result of their laziness? Have you thought of lazy staff changing all your map out strategies by infusing their awkward styles which could be clog in your wheel?
@Thosynho I will try my best to answer your questions in my next comment. Before that, I would like you to understand the concept *lazy* I'm referring to here. Employees tag them lazy because they prefer doing the job their own way which is more efficient and effective way to do all task given to them.

A lazy employee will ruin a business definitely and will hinder the progress of the company.
A lazy employee will drag the company down and can even reduce customer

So its wrong to hire a lazy employee

Lazy employees are probably the worst type out of the bunch of difficult coworkers. They don't pull their weight, they distract other employees and they do anything other than work on company time

It's interesting. I read about this somewhere.. i think it's Bill gates that said it. He said hire a lazy employee because they will find a more efficient way to finish the job but it depends on the person. Not everyone is smart enough to think of an easier way to work. It will be a mess and your business could fail if someone actually do this

Hire hard worker Just about every organization has that long-suffering person who stays at work the latest and claims to work the hardest. But working hard doesn’t necessarily mean getting a lot done. Although it seems counterintuitive, hiring managers may consider it a red flag when a job applicant puts too much emphasis on being a hard worker. Today’s workers need to work smarter and more efficiently

Some company do keep lazy employee in other not to pay them high and be using them todo all the minor job and send them an errands. If am opportune I will higher like 5% of lazy employee.I would prefer to keep a number of them in my company so they can perform the functions you have stated above.

I think hiring a lazy worker is like moving from fry pan to fire, in other words lazy workers is not ideal at all. I feel that is one of the reason why some organization used to do screening before they employ.

You made a very good point. But you must know it is not only lazy people that can create new ideas to make work easier. I believe that even a hardworking worker can innovate and come up with new ways to solve problems. It's not about laziness, it's about intelligence.

This is a very wrong assumption. Every business, especially start ups need hardworking employees or staff. This set of new employees will determine whether you'll grow or collapse. Lazy workers are huge liabilities for such companies. They reduce productivity and can make the company lose money and clients too.
So for me, I would always employ hardworking employees over lazy ones.
