Personally I think success through crowdfunding is not for everyone and it also depends on the situation. most often it's effective for those in needs of medical attention and sometimes politics.

The reason why crowdfunding was established was to help people fund their serious project and not really for any business that comes across and because of this , if you are interested to get money with crowdfunding you have to go through a strict process of screening.

Actually crowdfunding is not effective for all situation but for specific most often is to enable people fund there existing projects that may be more useful to the society.

Crowdfunding has been very effective in the Western countries but I've not seen crowdfunding platform working in the tier-3 nations because I have applied for one and it doesn't work.

I don't think it's due to location. The type of situation you are looking for funding for matters too. Most health and charity cases rarely flop. If you are looking for money for a business though, that will be hard.
