Does religion have an effect on the type of business to do?

Religious believe affects of the business some people are going to do. For instance, a staunch Muslim can never go into pork breeding and selling business. A devoted Hindi worship I can never slaughter a cow for business.

Of course is does have great effect on the type of business you will do, a good Christian won't want to involve himself in a business that deals with scamming people, deceiving them and cheating them.
You are correct. Your religion or faith has an effect in doing business. A good Christian will not do things like scamming or cheating people.

There are some people who will not go into alcohol business because they are devoted Christians. They believe that alcohol is against human health.

There are some very conservative religion that do not allow their members to indulge in some form of trade, and this has been an issue for some persons who would want to use what their immediate environment needs to go into such business, but religious restrictions would not allow that.

Religion do affect the kind of work or business that we can do. Been a devoted Christian. It is not advisable to do any business that involves any illegal like selling if hard drug
Religion really do have an effect on business sometimes , foe example there are organisation that prefer to always shun off other religious member when recruiting members.

I believe religion affects our products and how we relate with people and the goods and services available in the market for example only Christian shops would sell anointing oil used by churches

I do not think that religion should have an effect on the kind of business you are doing. We should never discriminate against anyone based on race, cast, or religion.

The point is to distinguish between a simply formal religion and authentic faith (the two concepts may walk together or not). Religious people who aim to obey to God, observe His commandments and walk in the holiness path, won't feed any vice. And we know varios businesses are established on peoples' vices: the biggest is porno industry. If we love our neighbors (friends, acquaintances, even unknown people) as Jesus commanded us, we can't feed their vices, but we aim they quit them.

It really depends on the business: I did the example of porno industries to better explain. If we refuse to sell porno, we are not discriminate anyone at all: we encourage people to get rid of a slavery.

Definitely yes! Religion have an IMPACt it plays on the kind of business path one chooses. For a Christian, it is widely believed that you shouldn't involve yourself in the sales of had substance like marijuana

Although religion plays a part in effecting market demand and supply, there are some things a religion permits and others it doesn't but this shouldn't cause discrimination.

Well you are right. But most time it is the Muslims that do that. I have seen some organizations owned by Muslims and they only accept Muslims as staff

To some extent religion does affects the type of business that we do. Some businesses are not permitted by some religion, making people practising the religion to totally avoid it.

There was a friend that lost a millions worth of contract because the company that's involved was a bweery company and he is a good Muslim. I don't allow religion to dictate what I will do.

Its almost everywhere in the religion , I am working in a Muslim organisation and they are treating me like a family member , so its not everywhere , I understand your point.

This isn't doable at all. If the business involves stuff that crushes against one's values, he/she actually forfeits them. There's no way. If a christian or a jew begins to sell adult stuff, for ex., it's actually apostasy for the sake of money, becoming greedy.
I did mentioned about ethics and morality. If you are a moral and ethical person, you will never sell adult stuff or alcohol, you don't need religion to stop you from selling these items.

Some religion advice there people who are in business not to sell bad products like hard drugs etc.
They advice them that;you should not involve in illegal business
Yes that is true about illegal drugs like shabu. Not only religion is saying no to selling of illegal drugs but also the government and the police.

The religion and personal beliefs of the people in my location is definitely something too heavily consider whenever I am wanting to create a business.

Yes, religion has effect on the type of business one venture in. There are religions that speak against scientific healing and as such non of their membere are allowed to be doctors

Yes I think I have heard of this before, I also had a friend back then who said there religion does not allow blood transfusion, so no matter how sick the person may be, blood transfusion is a big no.

A moral and an ethical individual will never sell what he or she believes it is a sin in the eyes of God, and some religious people too normally avoid selling alcohol , sex toys .
