Does religion have an effect on the type of business to do?

If we talk about the effect on business, it might be negative or positive effect, surely religion has effect in some business take for instance, Islam don't eat pork meat so they cant sell anything related to pig meat and also Islamic material like rosary doesn't has to with christian therefore religion has effect in business

Of course is does have great effect on the type of business you will do, a good Christian won't want to involve himself in a business that deals with scamming people, deceiving them and cheating them.

Though some people always allow religion to affect them while choosing some business but I don't think I can allow that. I will do whatever I am pleased with.

yes that's very true religion effects some of the business we do
Yes, some times, religion affects the kind of business we do.
Ethics of religion doesn't want us to promote the sales and
consumption of some products such as a Christian selling
alcohol and cigarettes. It might turn out to be a topic for the
non Christians

I was discussing this with my co-worker a few days ago. She wanted to start a business but has no idea about what to sell. So I told her to solve the needs of the people in her area, especially since the area is still developing.

After careful examination, she said because she is the wife of an Islamic cleric, she would not be allowed to sell the products.
What do you think of this? Does religion have a role to play in businesses?
Yes... some good ideas have been established and destroyed because of religious believes.. And religion deals with mentality, right religion with right mentality establish good business...

For sure religion has affect on some business that there are some business that religion does support when thinking to go about the business.

It does, for those who are very religious and those not take things of the spirit likely can't venture into some businesses, for instance you will never see a core religious person selling alcohol or having a bar.

Religious beliefs perform impact the type of function or even company that our team can possibly do. Been actually a dedicated Muslim. It's not recommended to perform any type of company that includes any type of unlawful like marketing if difficult medication

Yes, evident by the story you put up there. I think it is a bit of overreaching when your religion stops you from starting a business, I don't think it is written explicitly anywhere in the Bible or Quran that some businesses shouldn't be considered expect illegal activities.

Yes it does, a christain avoids any business that compromises his faith, such as adult gadgets and movies, as well as illegal businesses. Taking it down to online businesses, l always avoid any job that involves the use of VPN, it pricks my conscience a lot.

Religion have some impact on the kind of business people try to start, for example a Christian should not own a bar, a night club, casinos, and other businesses that is forbidden by the religious belief. If someone is a religious type many hindrances may come along during his choice of businesses he or she has in mind.

No matter how people try to downplay it, religion always have a role to play in the kind of choices or businesses people make or do.

Though from your analysis you did not specify the kind of business or product the said person wanted to go into but I belie that a devoted or true Christian should be involve in kinds of business to avoid being tempted. I have seen a Muslim woman running a provision shop who has refused to sell anything alcohol or cigarettes. This is my contribution.

Yeah, I do agree that someone's religion do play a role in determining the kind of business an individual could go into. I doubt a devoted Christian would go into illegal and criminal business

Religion itself is a big business, show me a temple, a church, a mosque or a monastery that is very poor and the residents are dying because they have no money to buy foods.

Where I'm from people have taken religion association to wma whole new level,if you don't worship in a particular church members of that church won't patronize you

Religion definitely have an effect on the kind of businesses people do depending on the area or location. There are some religion that doesn't support certain businesses.

Yes of course they are some business that is against someone's belief and so such business is been affected by the person's religion, for example am Christian they are business I can't venture into like selling of illegal hard drugs, alcoholic drinks etc.

Most genuine religion all over the world advise people to do things that will be of great advantage and benefits to mankind and those are the rules we have to follow in any business we are doing.

Of course, you are right. No religion will support selling illegal hard drugs. From the post, the needs of the people can't be illegal. According to my findings, she said she can't sell ponmo (cow skin). It was strange to me though
