A graduate can become a full-time farmer if he knows how to run a mechanised farming and have the resources to do it. Farming is a very lucrative business in my country for anybody that practice it.

People who are interested in business especially farming should only raise money on their own to start of the type of business or farming system they are interested in doing, you did not have to wait for the government

It would be a big mistake to wait on the government because truth be told they are not reliable, they easily fail in their promise. Even if they finally pull through, it would not be exactly what they promised.

And it's not that they don't know what they can do to improve the life of everyone in the country but because of greed and their selfish interests they do not really care for the people.

Well said, the greed is just too much. They care only about themselves and their pockets. No one is actually stopping them for taking for themselves but they should also allow others to eat as well, let it flow.

most people in developing parts of the world are venturing into Agriculture including graduates..... It is a booming sector and I see nothing wrong with a graduate engaging in farming even though most people look at it as a job for illiterates.... You have the necessary capital you can employ labourers to work on your farm for you

Though it sounds unusual it so very possible because now there are no much job opportunity out there in the labour market to accommodate all the graduates ,so there is every tendency of a graduate becoming a farmer.

It so unfortunate that a lots of graduate now don't know the value of agriculture.. Even though we are educated to be what we are not called to be agriculture should be a necessary course to carry on.

Education they said, is a good legacy. But reverse is the case in some developing countries like Nigeria. In my country Nigeria, every young graduate want a white collar job, but few of them consider a blue collar. I am beginning to see African continent as a food basket of the world in future if graduates are ready to move into Farming. I see Africans providing foods to the world and making things happen as a results of our vast land mass. But, it's not like that now, our resources are not worthy any longer since we all want to travel out of our country to a well developed countries, all in the name of greener pastures. Graduate of agricultural science should be trained to become farmers by providing them with the necessary funds and mercenaries. Instead, the people in the government are busy siphon money out of the country.

Although this may sound funny but it's very possible for graduate to become a full-time farmer, the provision of employment in this country is the main reason why I feel it is possible, since government cannot provide employment for graduate,then in no time, they will go into farming and other businesses

There is an graduate that are into the farming business full-time and most of this graduate and not like your number subsistence farmers or peasant farmers who make use of their energy to do some work but they make sure that they make use of big technologies like tractors to do this pump work and making use of the latest technology in planting and harvesting their crops.

That's another relevant point, Agriculture is being taught in school and might even be the person's major which makes such person a good asset to agriculture

Honestly I see no way right now unless there might be a Change in the future. Personally the only way round this would be to have a change from the people. The government does not care about us, so we have to Carter for ourselves.

See ,this thing might be very difficult to stop because if the president is coming with a good heart but most of his top followers are corrupt then obviously the system will be ruins.

People have to stop seeing farming as the job for the old and the uneducated. There are graduates who are making it big in their farming businesses.
