It's how many youths especially the graduates are desperately in search of white collar jobs in the urban areas. Lots of youth have seen office work as the only jobs that suit their status because of their education.

However, some jobs that are considered dirty because of its nature is more profitable than wearing your suit on empty stomach.

Yes you are right, but as a graduate you can re package yours in a way that will attract more customers and potential customers, I have a friend that is into cleaning services, the package she gave the company made her to stand out, she collect good contract from good organization, she clean up officers and get better pay than what an ordinary cleaner will get...so your education will give you edge

Mistakenly, people tend to associate dirty job with unlettered people but if the so called learned one can think beyond the box, they will realize that the so called dirty jobs have wealth hidden in them.

Indeed, I think people need to do away with such mentality. The so-called white-collar jobs aren't even in excess, why focus on something that millions of people are struggling for. That is why you need to create your wealth.

you mean dirty job clean money bu as a graduate how do you expect a graduate to go and work dirty work all in the sake of money it can't be possible, especially here in Nigeria, we like shiny things ready mades.

The world today looks at themselves saying they cannot be this or take up this job. For instance, being a bricklayer, is seen as a job for the hopeless while it's a very good and lucrative job. There are jobs that makes you look dirty but at the same time, it's paying.

Dirty jobs clean money is cool if it can bring food on the individual table is better than fraud or crime we better learn how to appreciated what we labour for with our bear hands

I feel the real money is in the dirty jobs cause most of the office jobs are merely packaging with little or nothing in there bank account buy if you get to meet with the people that do the so called dirty jobs most of them can afford to pay the office guys with easy, the job might look dirty but produce clean and sweet money.

Yes you right because all jobs are not clean because they are all dirty job but clean momey because there are no clean jobs clean money and any jobs that are dirty jobs are the only one paying better than clean jobs

Some dirty jobs are woth it but not all are high paying. The notion is that one someone is dirty then he's a slave but not always true. Some jobs cannot be done with your corporate attire. You have to roll up your sleeve and face it. Regardless of being in the entrepreneurial age, not all jobs are done without being dirty. A perfect example is an engineer.

There's an adage that says the dirtier your hands are the better you feed. Should I say blame it on the technical advancement? Young people actually prefers a stress free job, the one they can sit at the comfort of their office and still earn big at the end of the day. Our forefathers toured the earth as like most of our fathers and they never complained about their look, they are only interested in providing for their families and earning as well.

The word dirty here is not illegalities but works like farming, heavy duty truck drivers and so on were all overlooked but in actual sense they can generate cool cash.
Graduates with passion for driving can learn and get involved in truck driving to deliver goods across the country. The average pay for such jobs is from 80,000 and above. Though the salary is within the range of 30,000 but the added incentives like waybill allowances, road allowance, accident free allowance, and other performance based allowances if added up can add up to 100,000 plus. The good news is there are companies now that have invested heavily in transport and logistics business and we have in the country good numbers of brand new trucks which will make driving more convenient for drivers. Company like Dangote group, Bua group, Transport service limited TSL and many more have good numbers of sound vehicles in their fleet and the availability of cement to distribute means the drivers can set monthly target for themselves

That's right, there's proverb from where I come from which says "inu igbe ni owo wa" meaning inside dirt is where money is, graduates or unemployed people should start thinking outside the box and find doing regardless if it is white or blue collar job as long as it is bringing money and paying bills it's good to go.

That is low mentality of thought. Some graduate people will be selecting a job to do, and not because that the job will not pay a good money but because that they will be in dirty clothes. They will say they prefer to in a office under a AC.

I seriously agree with u
But in my own point of view most of this so called dirty works fetch or earns one more income than white collar jobs...but most people don't just want to go into it

Only a fool would look down on a job because it is not a white collar job. The most important thing is to earn a living and you need a job to do that. Cultivating a mentality of looking down on blue collar jobs might have negative consequences especially if you live in a country with high unemployment rate.

What has shiny things done to you? Can shiny things out food on your table? Who packaging help? What stops graduates from learning handiwork? Dirty jobs here is not about going into illegal jobs but doing things which could make you appear rough but fetch you money.

dirty job is an unpleasant task to do (someone's) dirty work: to accomplish an unpleasant, dishonest or immoral task (for someone) dirty: not clean, impure; offensive, rude; dishonest or unfair.

The so called dirty jobs are mostly jobs that give you a huge income. Imagine an individual who established a mobile toilet and he is making it big time. This is the use of your initiative positively in a more decent and reasonable way.

I perfectly agree with you brother.
In my country there are a lot of graduates at home idling but never tried jobs like farming related activities because they perceive it's a dirty job. But people into do get a lot of profit and at the end of the day use such profits to set up their dream business.
