Being a student it depends on your department of subject.if u know computer u can invest in different online projects or u can start stationary items of buisniss on smal scale.

Yes,this is a substantial amount to start a good home based business .
Like in my case when i was a student at the university i used to buy chicks and rear them.
When am on holidays,i used to take care of them and used to make a lot of profit out of it.
When it was my time to go back to school i could live my parents with the responsibility of taking care of them and i used to do pretty well.
