I once sold petrol (PMS) in kegs (black-market) during the fuel scarcity knowing that such businesses are prohibited by the law, PMS is only allowed to be sold within the fuel pumps in the stations, while selling, i and other patronizers and colleagues were picked by the law enforcement agencies and were detained for a month before being bailed. I think it is always necessary to have an idea about specific business before you get into it. You can get into any kind of business but you might face problems when you fail to generate gains in a business as a result of lack of experience.

I agree with you on the economic viability of the business before getting started. You should also know that personal enthusiasm is also important when establishing a new business. It is easy to call it a quit when you are not making profit faster if you establish a business where you don't have passion or knowledge. When you have passion for what you do, you will never be fizzle out with any obstacles you face in the business.

You can go into any business you like as long as it is legit and good. Affiliate marketing is very nice but it is a long term and you will need a mentor to hold your hand through as well. Avoid money doubling businesses as much as possible.
