Offering discounts for high-spending customers has been the norm for over two year. We keep doing this to show that we value their custom and to keeps them coming through our door to buy more. I have been planning to change the norm to something better.

Discounts are be definitely a norm but other things can also be done, like giving them branded items from your company, at the end of the year, you might give them a little gift to appreciate the businesses done together all through the year
 
To reward loyal customers give them bonuses, whenever there is promo make sure they participate and get the promo, during festival period or at the end of the year hove them Thank you gift. Let them know they are special. Because we have lots of customers that are not loyal.
