What is the best possible forum software out there?

Out of all of the forum softwares which do you like the best and functions the best?

I believe it's XenForo or vBulletin (If you're not in need of money considering there $100+)

Now if you're just starting out I would reccomend phpBB for beginners or MyBB, phpBB is a little bit easier to understand though.

XenForo is the best software, hands down. IPB is a pretty good software if you have the money. It's a pretty heavy, ready out of the box type software, though. The best for beginners is MyBB or Zetaboards. Zetaboards probably actually is, even though I hate it. The resources on that software are just amazing. phpBB isn't very good for newbies. I've been using it for over a year and I'm still confused.

I've never used IPB, I have over 500$ invested into XenForo and vBulletin so i'm not ready to shed another 200+

That makes sense. I can't stand the new vB personally, though.

Older versions are alright but as of now, 2016, XenForo is the best out there personally.

I think XenForo is the best, it has all the features that what a forum require and it is not that difficult to use.
The main thing i love in XenForo as they are smooth to use and its functions are user friendly

From the perspective of a forum user, I find XenForo really cool. From the perspective of a forum owner, I am still hoping to find a viable solution from within the free forum software offerings.

This is going to be really subjective for a lot of people. Personally, I like XenForo, I have nothing but good things to say about it. If I was going to do a free option, it would have to be MyBB.

MyBB has fallen behind in my opinion and I would completely avoid Vbulletin all together.

I would definitely have to go with xenforo. The design, usability and functionality are unrivaled.

I used to say Xenforo but since using WBB I am not sure that is just as powerful and easy to use.

Definitely XF. I can't really see myself going on another forum that isn't powered by XF.
