vBulletin vs. all other softwares

With the new vBulletin, it seems that all other paid softwares have completely passed vBulletin over. Even free softwares such as MyBB or phpBB both seem to be far more advanced than vB is now days. What are your thoughts? Is vBulletin even comparable to modern softwares anymore?

vBulletin seems standard for forums that evolved past the newspaper and magazine mediums, but are still slow to adopt newer technologies.

I agree with Christopher. It seems pretty standard for new forum owners who want something a little more pricey.

vBulletin is very suited for beginners and people that are looking to set up their very first forum. While it`s features might be standard and simplistic, it definitely gets the job done.

The word is that no one is working on the software to upgrade or improve it. Most people are choosing other software and leaving them behind. Plus forums are having to compete with social media platforms and are losing on that front as well.
