Having an extra source of money is the best... Small scale business is preferred for people who has other lager sources... Starting a small scale business where everyone eats from there lol, never try this
A small scale business that is getting popular here is the home-based business of cooking or preparing food to sell. Even students are doing that now. They make candies and other sweets like pies for dessert and they sell to the neighborhood. That is a small business with a good profit.

That is the reason it is called small businesses. For any small business, you can start it with the little that you have and keep funding it till you are satisfied with the progress of the business.
 
Yeah, generally speaking, starting up a business enterprise is not always as easy as it seems no matter how small especially if it's a lucrative one. It will surely demand you make some expenses, so it's just better to save up than even taking up loans

As far as I'm concerned there is no harm in starting a business in a small way and then grow it gradually with your daily effort into the business that will make you to grow.
Obviously there is nothing wrong with starting a small business and growing it but it's going to take a long time if you are considering growing a business. you would have used a large capital to start up the business big at once without going through the process of growing.
