Hey everyone! Wow this weekend was awful! Saturday I worked from 3pm until 3am on some stuff for work. Woke up at 10am and finished working on the stuff around 8:30pm.

I am EXHAUSTED. Worst migraine ever yesterday, but thankful I am done.

I hope everyone is having a good Monday!! This is my last week of work til I get a break!

I had a good weekend. Had to work on Saturday though but spent Sunday at a friend's house and held a Pirates of the Caribbean marathon, randomly. 😆 But it was fun.

Ahhh.. perfect night (other than the mosquitoes wanting to fly off with you even with the Thermacell active).... but the neat thing is the astro target I've been chasing the last several decent nights is getting a "new toy" added to it. Seems like over the last few days it had a supernova in it.... so I've started new captures to that will have it in there and not blended in with the pre-supernova ones.

A supergiant star exploded as a supernova in the prominent galaxy M101 in Ursa Major. It's now bright enough to see in a 4.5-inch telescope!

This is a simple screen capture (B&W) from my RPi4 capture device. It's the bright dot in the "cloud" at about 11 o'clock, and is brighter than the core of the galaxy.

Indeed she is, we drove there when she first moved there and it was a very long trip!

It is quite a long trip. I always stopped in Tennessee - typically in Memphis on the way there, perhaps the same on the way back. When I went with my bestfriend we stopped in Hurricane so we could see Loretta Lynn's house and have dinner at her diner. Flying wasn't too bad! It was bad coming back from WV because there either wasn't a pilot or a crew, I forget now, but otherwise not too long or bad of a trip on the plane!

Wow - that's awesome they visit every other month! I understand not being able to. I really am thinking of doing a solo trip up there, but wish at least my bestfriend would go with me.

I want to see my sister mainly, also majority of my family is there. I still have 5 aunts and 2 uncles who are alive and of course all their kids, and the many cousins I have in general. One of my aunts is in bad health so I would like to see her again before she gets worse.

Nope, but my mom was. She was born in Michigan I think, but her dad's side I believe were all in West Virginia. They moved to West Virginia again when she was little. She moved here to Texas with her first husband, and then got divorced and met who I thought was my dad. She would take the greyhound back and forth to West Virginia frequently!
