Ahhh... nothing like using the push mower on the back acre in mid 80 degree temps and high humidity... work up a sweat and then it starts raining on you. Don't like mowing wet grass, but was about 2/3's done so finished it out... Still had the front and sides to do, but the excess lightning convinced me to call it a day.
The rain and mugginess of today has not been so fun! I can’t imagine working with a push mower in this!
Going alright :D
That’s good!!
As long as it doesn't have that hot cinnamon taste, it's a pretty good flavor!

Happy belated birthday @Shortie!
Hmm I might have to give it a try if I see it.

Have a good Monday everyone! :)

How's everyone?

Hey Ken!

I'm done with work for today, finally can do some catching up with the forum. And I've got some new content incoming soon. :)

After a long weekend spent with work and mother's day activities I'm excited to have more "me" time! Today at work we had a run down of how the last 2 weeks of school will go. I'm excited to push through and get some time off!

Hope everyone had a good Monday and beginning to their week!
Oh that's right, you get plenty of time off in the near future.

I just had a rough evening...

Trigger warning: suicide

My neigbour came knocking on my back windows, rather fast and hard as if she's in a panic. I open the back door and she's obviously crying and upset and hardly can put to words what is happening. Turns out her partner locked himself up in the garage box they rent which is a few steps away from my house. She gave me the key, I tried to open it, key won't fit, tried calling his name to get a response, no response. I asked if he said something about his intentions as to why he's locked up in the garage... She said he'd hang himself. I didn't doubt for a second once I heard that and called the police, explained the situation and they'd send some officers and firefighters and ambulance, the whole deal. It wasn't quite long until they arrived so kudos to them. They tried getting a response for 5 minutes and seconds before the firefighters came to cut the garage door, the officers got it open or got him to open it and there he is, on a stool, noose around his neck. I doubt I'll ever forget that picture. He's fine, he wasn't quite there yet but his intentions were clear and he was forced to go to the hospital to get him checked in the psych ward... I hope he gets the help he needs, or rather that he accepts the help he doesn't know he needs.

Sorry for the long and sad post but I needed to tell someone.

That's quite sad.. Hope he gets some help. I've had a nephew do this to him only we were to late to find out and the deed was done. In my opinion, people who you get the chance to talk before they do it - are usually screaming for help and have no intention to do it. But that doesn't apply to anyone though. Hope you're okay and you're able to get over this experience rather quickly.

I'm sorry you were too late for your nephew.. I do think it was mostly a cry for help but there's a difference, at least for the police there is, between locking yourself up and saying you'll do it as to actually finding the guy with the rope around his neck... Because if he had just been sitting there they'd probably let him be and not take him to the hospital... I'm glad nothing all too bad happened. Of course it's a shock for both of us, I hope she will be okay...

I am so sorry to hear that :( you always hear about these things but nothing ever prepares you for when you see it. I am so glad he is fine and I really hope he does get the help he needs.

Yes I think we (sadly) all know people who tried or cried for help or who actually succeeded but to see it is something else. I had to fight back tears but the lady who came knocking literally walked away histerical. She couldn't bring herself to go to him. It was heavy.

Oh friend! I'm so sorry! I truly hope he gets the help he needs and I'm so glad that you quickly reacted and they were able to get there in time! I hate that people feel the need to escape in such a way. I'm glad you were able to help and hope his partner is also able to get some support as well!

I'm truly thankful for the break! Tomorrow will even be an easy day at work as I work on paperwork! I'm just so EXCITED lol.

Don't be sorry, it's not good to hold these types of thoughts in and it's good to speak out. It's very sad that he wanted to end his life, but I'm relieved the emergency crew arrived in time before it got to the point where it was too late. This reminds me of one of my all-time favorite singers, Chester Bennington, that died by hanging.

Finally got a clear night and have the scope set up....upgraded StellarMate OS and they've made a LOT of changes that I now have to go back and tweak before I can capture anything!
Really wish they'd make a "list" of what they update, but I haven't found one yet.

@Tracy a list of updates would be super helpful! Hopefully you tweak it and have some better outcomes!
One change they appeared to make (and I'm REALLY happy about) is that the rotator module will now move the camera so you don't have to do pre/post meridian flip flats. Was a PITA if you wanted to track a target past meridian.... you had to keep up with 2 sets of flats for each target. Now you only have to do one apparently. We'll see how well it works tonight.
