That's cool you always get 3 weeks! I'm sure the full 2 months was amazing though! That's a lot of official vacation. Yeah when the kids are out of school, we get a good month off, but then after that we have to start preparing for the year. We go to trainings a lot too. June is pretty much all off, but this year I'm working 3 extra days in June but getting an extra 200-300 for that.
We get 138 hours at the start of the year which resembles around 20 days which is the usual amount. Just add around 70 days to that because of overtime. 😆 Can't complain.
We get 2 weeks off for Christmas, a week for Thanksgiving in November, even a week off for "fall break" in October, Spring break which is a week off in March, That's about it. I suppose that does really add up xD
I spend some of the breaks doing my extra things for my job as a SPED teacher, otherwise no not much preparing. I spend about 20 hours during the breaks to get paperwork done and etc.
Yeah! During November break was my wedding and honeymoon! I didn't work over all the breaks, which screwed me over a bit lol.
Fortunately, it was given time to me. I'm out of extra days to take because I took so many last year when my dad died. Each year we get 10 days we can take off. So if you get sick it sucks as well. It is hard to get subs - there is a teacher and a sub shortage currently.
Yep, but they save up if you don't use them.. but I unfortunately get sick quite a bit, as well as spending days towards wedding planning and meetings.
We've been having storms consistently in the forecast for about a week now and haven't seen much, but last night was pretty crazy. We got a weather alert for 80 MPH winds and the rain was pretty heavy as well. Don't think the winds actually got that high, but I'm not really sure.
Same here, hot but there are storms in the forecast.
I didn’t get the warning about the wind but a coworkers tree got blown over!
Mine is okay! It’s warm here as well. When I last checked it was 86 I think! I went and got my protein shakes earlier and doing laundry now and watching the last of us. Husband wants to order pizza for dinner so just some more relaxing.
Must've been some pretty high winds to knock a tree over. I surprisingly didn't see any fallen trees in our area so far.
I guess so! It didn't look too old, so it could have been a newer tree that the roots weren't far enough down. Regardless it sucks. As I drove around today I didn't notice much disheveled or anything. As I browsed my local cities facebook page I discovered not only was there a shooting nearby in a different city but there was also a police chase in my city yesterday! What a wonky day!
