Actually personally I think works parties are mostly for fund and to some extent it's expensive to always operate.

Worked party shouldn't be done always but on timely basis at least to promote the unity that exists between co workers.

Its good to have work parties but just once awhile , maybe at the end of the year and it can also use to lure customers and investors to invest in your business by inviting them to your party .

Once in a year, a few days before Christmas, my ex-boss will tell us that we may leave at noon and be paid for the rest of the day without using our earned time off. I don't think it is necessary to hold party because where I am working such things do not hold, so I don't see why you should hold party at your working place I don't like such thing.

Yeah, the togetherness it brings is one of its major advantages. It also helps workers to feel belonged in a business venture and that can probably enhance productivity which is a very big advantage to the growth of the business.

Personally, I just don't like parties so if the company ever schedules one, I would make sure I have that one friend I vibe with to go with or I don't go at all. It is a huge factor for stress for me so I would need a buffer for all the energy or I can't muster up the energy to ever going to it. If I find a valid reason to not go even with friends going with it, I would skip the parties. I'm an introvert.
