What do you think about AI usage on forums? Do you think it can help a forum gain real members?

I think using AI for certain things is fine on a forum. Maybe to help out members if they need help with something until a real member can help. As for helping on getting more members, I don't think so. I'm not really sure how you could utilize AI to help bring in more members. Some people are off put by AI members and might not want to join if there's AI members.

How do you envision AI being integrated to the onboarding experience?

I don't envision integrating AI into any of my sites, so I haven't considered it. I prefer human generated content.

One of the real fears of AI is for it to replace or supplement the actual discussions by people. But AI can be used in non-discussuon areas to help new members. For example, would you see AI be helpful in:
- Crafting a personalized welcome email based on the users profile selections
- Answering basic "how to" questions, such as how to post, how to add a video, how to upgrade my membership, etc.
- Personalizing the list of threads and topics for new members, instead of most recent threads
