Retrenchment is not really a good thing but when it is done as the last resort in order to find solution to a business problem, we have no choice than to let go of some people. If it is one of your favorite staff that was affected by the retrenchment, you will call him to your office and let him see the reasons for your decision and promise to support him in any way that you can in future.

I also lost my job during the covid-19 lockdown and i was so devastated , we were just told on message that our service is no longer needed because they can no longer continue to pay us.
