Number of employees in a venture.

When a company is in its infancy, the owners must have a staff under their responsibility who perform different functions.
Depending on the company, there is usually a secretary and an administrator. What other personnel is necessary and indispensable at the beginning of an enterprise?
Those two are important and like a basic requirement for companies at infancy, another very important staff is a computer operator, this staff will work with the secretary to make sure records are properly stored on computer system, he/she help take measures to protect the information and data of the company.

The type of company will determine the personnel he will need for a new company. Some company does not needs the services of a secretary when the company is newly established. An accountant or a bookkeeper can also double as a secretary. You will need marketers to help you promote the companies products.

This should be dependent onwhat your aim is and the nature of products you are tasking, its all in the quality of investment
For most business especially private owned, the main aim is profit making which is why I agree with her that most business should have administrator who oversees things and secretary who helps with scheduling and typing.

Excellent answer, according to my experience in a kindergarten you are right about the computer operator, this way he will be able to support, solve and "protect the company's information and data." You are correct in your publication.

If both are present, your answer is reasonable, the foreman or accountant can fulfill the functions of the secretary. The marketing specialist in fact, can not be missing at the beginning of a company, with these two and the manager or owner you can start.

The number of employee in a business organization will be determined based on the type of organization, if it is a partnership or private limited liability company or a public limited liability company. So all this will determine the number of staff and again the financial strength too will determine it.

That's right @Kingsley , when we talk about organizations. What is your opinion when it comes to a small startup, where the number of employees can affect the capital and therefore should be the minimum possible? How many people do you think there should be in a company, that are essential?

You are very correct, the type of business will determine the numbers of staff to be employed. Small scale business cannot employ the staff strength of a large scale business. So also private organization cannot employ the numbers of staff of a government ministries.

For an upcoming business, the number of staff to be employed varies from one type of business to the other. The number of staff is also dependent on the nature of the business. Some businesses may require more staff while some can startup with a few staff.

It is true, it varies according to the size of the company, whether it is large scale or small, it may require less or more personnel. When I posted the thread I didn't think about the size of the company, just the number of staff at the beginning. I have seen companies that start with 4 or 5 employees.

Yes, the nature and size of the business would dictate the number of staff that would be needed by the start up. A small retailing shop can start with only the owner to be the manager and attendant. But for a bigger store a staff would be required to handle the stocks and maintenance of the place.

That's what I need to know, if the company is starting up, and the number of employees is small to take advantage of. What do you think those employees should be before the company is booming?
numbers of employee in adventure depend on how big the venture is if the venture is a very big one the numbers of workers will likely be up to 50 or 100 workers.

when I started my first business, I did not have any employees, all of the partners were un paid employees. (yes, my first business was a partnershsip business)

It is as countless members have said, the number of employees depends on the business, even in your case you had none. I think there are some cases like yours and in others you can start with two or three employees.

Actually when starting a business venture, there are positions that requires staffs to help run the enterprise. The number of employees needed depends on how diverse the company is and how positions are needed to be filled.
In any business venture especially in a new setup, you engage persons according to needs and priority of the operations in that organisation, positions are filled based on their level of importance to the organisation.

I think the number of employees for a new companies depends on the nature of the company and the position that needs to be filled . But the strategy is that the employer employs lesser people

In your own case I think your business was a small scale business which in most cases do not require additional employees to join the business without affecting the business finance which is yet to find it feet.

It depends on the capacity of the business at the start, some business start and can afford to have a secretary an administrator while others can barely afford one employees.

That's right, the employer's idea is to hire fewer people at the beginning as the company begins to stabilize. As time goes by, employees are added as the company progresses and grows.

Well the number of key workers when starting out would depend too on the kind of business done, the size of the business too would be included coupled with other factors down the line

Yes. When the business is in starting stage, at that time few employees will be enough for the business. But as your business grow with time, you need to hire different people for different positions.
