mental preparation: starting your business with the right mindset!

One must prepare himself mentally as he or she is going into a business of choice. Part of the mental preparation needed is having it at the back of your mind that it would never be a easy ride. Business has it's ups and downs. So a business minded person must have this mentality and also prepare ahead of the turbulent period in business

i have to agree with you here about a point, when starting a business, you should actually focus on its success before focusing on how much money it's going to make you earn, the details of earnings will come later
 
Yea.... mental preparation is one of the most important preparations before starting up a business.... so many people run their businesses with wrong mindsets and motives and that is why their businesses never move forward and they are stagnated
Take a minute to imagine an entrepreneur you deeply respect. Think of that person at the start of his or her career, working on a product or service that will eventually make it big. Regardless of whom you’ve chosen, chances are the entrepreneur in question had a success-oriented mindset from the outset
 
Having a positive mindset when starting a business is very important when starting a business ,because it is what makes the person to keep going amdist diffit situation ,during the course of establishing the business.

@Patrik I'm happy you share my views on the issue discussed. Top companies we know today started with a mindset "Let's solve this problem". Jack Ma CEO of Alibaba aim was just to help Farmers whose fruit get spoilt in the rural market without sales, whereby the fruit is in high demand in city and the few once available are expensive. To bridge the gap between the demand and supply supply side he used the Internet. Today his e- commerce platform (Alibaba) is a global company. He wasn't looking at profit at start, he explained how it was difficult to break even for the first five years but now a global company.
 
Lovely advice for an aspiring Business owner like me, this issue of having a mentality of making quick my money when a business starts has a way of frustrating business owners when they see that their expectations towards the business is not met especially when there are no profits but loss in the first phase of the business. This is not supposed to be so, a business owner should just focus on satisfying a need and every other thing will naturally come along.
 
Put yourself in challenging new situations.
You gain confidence by overcoming challenges, but when you fail to put yourself in challenging new situations because you assume the outcome won’t be positive, you will be unable to grow. Be open to finding a mentor.
Mentorship is often discussed with regard to self-improvement and business success. But many professionals assume that finding a mentor is as simple as asking a senior professional for help.
 
I appreciate those people who started their business with complete and proper mind set up they are the ones who get the success and progress in the country due to their better mind set up and knowing good knowledge about the businesses.so mental preparation is the basic and important part before starting business.
 
You are right, start business with the aim of solving a problem and helping humanity. Starting with the intention of making money is sabotaging your business. Don't think about the money, think about what you want to do.
Never start a business for the sole purpose of making money, this is the quickest way to drive away potential customers and/or get burnt out.

Also, don't put so much pressure on yourself to matter to the world. You don't have to change the world (not right away). Just focus on a need and find out how to fill that void.
 
@Kennysplash by doing that you will have the drive to become successful while helping others. Also, your expectations from the business would be realistic and while waiting for the business to grow you are creating an authority for your brand in that business niche.
 
That's right ! There's no business, whether online or offline, started with a motive of making money alone that withstands the test of time. We need posses the mindset of solving problems.

Good management will determine the growth of the business, profit and many other factors that make the growth of the company steady.
 
We all know the end goal is to make profit, but most self acclaimed guru and newbie don't realize that some factors determine the actual profit realized at the end of the month. It is said that tough time never last but tough people do, the reason is that they are mentally strong. The first aim of any business person should be the impact of the product or services to the society.
 
For every business the purpose is to make money but for you to make the money you must have a good mindset of solving peoples problem, when provide solutions to people problems by rendering good products and better services that is better than your competitors before you know is you would have become very successful in the business.

Indeed, youre right. Doing business is risky. You need to bet on something you believe is beautiful and popular. But doing business is more than spending money or your ability to manage your resources. Doing business also requires proper thinking and courage. Having positive thinking is very important especially when you are just starting your dream business. Why else would you do business if you do not believe in yourself and your product or service. You have to think that you will succeed. You need to imprint in your brain that you will do everything to succeed. You need to cheer yourself up over and over again so that you will not be discouraged because you will not get succeed on that kind of mindset.
 
That is true. The problem with starting a business only for the money is that you will only be looking out for the profits and not to satisfy your customers' needs. But when you focus on your market and understand their needs, you find yourself succeeding and profits coming in.
