Managing staff(s) in a key section of your company.

In every organizations there are different sections and some of the sections are highly sensitive, if you are into product or service business you will have the account sections, marketing , human resources , security etc. In your opinion how long should one keep the staff(s) in sensitive position before transfer to another.?

if you want to transfer him from one department to another and he hasn't been there before, it will take him a while to learn and he adjusts ...

It is unreasonable to transfer someone out because you feel the position is too sensible to stay for long. In way when you hire people to fill in you are exposing more people to that sensible position which is even worse

. You're right because when you keep one person in a sensitive position that person will be responsible for every activities around that position but if you keep changing people that may become difficult to trace errors when ever they occur..

Staffs should maintain their positions so long as they are doing great in their respective areas.
A staff can only be changed if he or she is not delivering results as expected, or if the employer thinks the staff will do better if given another position.

Do you really think it is necessary for an accountant in a particular area to be transferred to another area ? This may be impossible in some cases since everyone work based on their level of qualification and skills.

Of course it is easier all possible for you to transfer an accountant in one area to another area after he's an accountant and you should be able to function almost everywhere that has to do with accounting.

I honestly don't see any need to transfer staffs when they are doing well in their current position. Morever a staff applied for a position because he or she is comfortable with it so what's the need to trouble them by transferring them.

In such case it is advisable to retain the hardworking and and promote them. A hard-working employee always needs promotion for his hard work.

We will only need one accountants in a business organisation and how can we transfer it to another area like the cleaning department ? This is not the right thing ,everybody has their own responsibility and their main area of concentration.

People are the hardest resources to control in any business. There are lots of reasons for this as some people are lazy while some people are not ready to follow the schedule due to their own selfish interests. you have to do a lot of persuasion and convincing talk before people could do things the proper way.

You have said this perfect , people are the hardest to control yes this is true but in the business that you are paying them to perform a particular activities they have to listen and obey the rules and regulation of the business or you replace the person with someone who will be able to do it.

The best thing is to have a system in place to replace a bad eggs from the workers in the company. People can protect a lot especially when they are just starting out with a new company and they are going to exhibit their character overtime once they have been comfortable in the company.

Hmmm ,this is really serious.. well you need to make them to understand that if they make any mistake or they try to be funny that their chance of being fired is very high maybe this will help them to work honestly.

As long as the employee is trust worthy and as long as the employee has not done anything wrong, you can keep your staff in the sensitive position. However, you should also closely watch the person for any red flags.
No human being is ever 100% perfect in this life. There is always a possibility that someone would make mistakes which is why you have to supervise them from time to time.

You need to develop emotional intelligence in order to manage people successfully in the workplace. Emotional intelligence will give you the opportunity to bring out the best in the people which will help to contribute to the output of the business with the marketplace.

When a staff performs well in their duties, they generally remain in the department they are in. They do not change it unless the worker requests the change for compelling reasons, or they give him a promotion in the department and place someone else.
Yes, a staff that's fixed in the department they have the capacity to develop and deliver will always do well in that department which is why getting the best staff for your business is the key.

There are some sensitive sectors in a business that you can't mess with the stuff that I'm working in that department because they are the head that moves the company and if anything happens to them the business will crumble.

That's right, employers will always look for people with high skills and abilities to positively develop a department. As you describe, this is key to the company, and therefore to the company's success.

You can keep them for as long as you like; you'll only promote them if you want to. However, it is recommended that employees or employees be promoted when their contributions are helping to propel the organization or business forward.

I think transfers should be done in the overall interest of the company. There is no point moving a staff from a sensitive position to another post if such a person is doing excellently well.
