My uncle who stays abroad owns a school in the country, so that got me wondering managing such businesses from far away there must be challenges attached to it.
What are such challenges?
is there anything bad in doing that? it's the performance of the employees and the manager thatcmattwes the most, their location doesn't really matter as far as they are carrying out their duties the way they are supposed to carry them out and the company is progressing. That's my take on it.

Thank God for technology, communication can be more frequent and effective. But the gap will always be there. Managing a business from another country is not easy as you are not there to oversee the affairs physically. You will have to trust the reports you're given and work with it.
 
I personally feel that of course there are many challenges that come with managing a business from another country. For one thing, you are not physically there to monitor it. And if the employees are not trustworthy, they might not be truthful with the profits. That is one challenge. So it's really not an easy job managing your business from far away

Managing a business is a difficult job and it is more difficult if your in different place. Most successful business owners are those who focuses and are hands-on on their businesses. There are many problems that may arise if your managing a business from far away. Unless you have a very trusted people that works for you.
 
When it comes to running a business locally in Nigeria from abroad, it is usually one herculean task. As there are a lot of things involved. Some of the major challenge in running a business in Nigerian from overseas is due to the following; “the Nigerian factor” , little Knowledge of the Nigerian market, lack of experience , the technical know how , High cost of running the businesses in Nigeria, poor management skills etc.

Managing businesses when you are out of the country is very easy especially when the business is a big one like the school your uncle own. it might be difficult if the business is a small business but big businesses like that it can be managed from anywhere the only thing you need is to employ qualified staff into the business to manage it for you.
