Is there any difference between marketing and selling?

Marketing and selling are two very different concept, although they have some similarities but they are different. Marketing has to do with taking your product or services out to convince people to either buy your product or to patronize your service while selling has to do with making sales. You don't have to leave your shop or your business to sell, you can just be in your shop and be making sales without going out but marketing is not so, you have to go out to convince people to buy your product or services.

Yes, there are clear differences between marketing and selling. Marketing is an act of making known a product or service in the market through canvassing. It is the process of promoting a product so that the people would be aware. Selling is act of giving a product out to the existing customers. It is process of going from one location to the other to distribute goods and services to the customers.

selling transforms the goods into money, but marketing is the method of serving and satisfying customer needs. The marketing process includes the planning of a product's and service's price, promotion and distribution.

Marketing is like sampling of products, bringing customers or the form of advertisement and making people to notice your product or company.
On the other hand, selling is like converting the customers you have gotten from marketing to purchase or patronize your company or product.

No, I don't think there is any difference between the two. I think they are both from the same department doing almost the same thing which is getting sales for the department. Only that one they have almost different

Marketing and Selling are two different strategy to business that can't do without each other, they lean on each other. Before a business can boom it has to be marketed before going to the market for sell, the both of them speaks like life into any kind of business. A well experienced marketer makes good sales.

I cannot say the meaning of the tow or evaluate the difference because there are almost the same thing marketing is the process of passing information of goods and services in the market to the final consumer while selling means yhr process of giving goods for money.and it is Alao more of advertising your product to prospective buyers and selling is the final end result of marketing just like buying and selling

Yes there is big difference between marketing and seeling. I think marketing is the advertisement of products . Marketing gives awareness and increase the value of products. Seling mean the product that we sell throughout marketing.

Marketing deals with buying and selling and not only done on goods and service, you can sell companies and even person. But we sell goods and service only. If you sell company, it means you are no longer in charge of the company.

Marketing simply means your means of trying to sell your goods and services
Marketing can also means advertising and branding
While selling is the process to exchanging your goods and services for money

Selling is the last step in doing business, this is when your client has agreed to pay fpr your products, but marketing on the other hand is the process of introducing your products to a client whom you are not sure if he will not it or not, so your ability to persuade b the client by giving him or the assurance that the product will meet is need is marketing, so if you do it successfully it will lead to the client buying your products which is selling. So marketing comes before selling.

There is a big difference between marketing and selling because in marketing a person does his own marketing of his own brand of his own business, he tells people, but in selling it also happens that the person sells his own . Does not market but sends automatically.

Yes,marketing is all about activity advertising good to meet up to the customer While selling is exchange of good and services involving Money

Selling is not the same with marketing. Selling is offering products on consumers in exchange for money. Marketing on the other hand is a form of advertising the product that you are selling. It could bring you more sales.

Marketing is selling of services or goods that will generate transaction count while the selling part is done internally. You have a marketing specialist in your company he or she is incharge of inviting the guest to come in. And your sales person is he one doing the negotation.

Sale is a process, by which goods and services flow from the producer to the consumers. It is an activity of distributing goods. Marketing on the other hand is a comprehensive term which includes selling in itself, merchandising and distribution. The ultimate end of both selling and marketing is to maximise profit by promoting sales

Selling is the handling of the actual transaction of purchase by the customer. Marketing is the activity to cause sales. Advertising is the best example of marketing. You are promoting your business by advertising it in social media or even in print media an tv networks. But there is no sales involved there. When the viewer of the advertisement decides to buy he can go to your store and talk to the sales attendant for the actual selling.

Marketing and selling are similar in activities and deals with products and services. But I will start by saying marketing deals more with advertising products online using social media platforms and also offline. While selling deals with exchange for money.

Marketing is the act of promoting your product to the people to buy while selling is act of giving away your product to someone by paying for it. Therefore, marketing and selling is a different things but attach to the same thing (product).

Broadly, marketing involves promoting, distributing, packaging, pricing and selling of company products/services while selling is a part of marketing that involves the actual exchange of goods between a buyer and seller.
