It's crazy to think that there's a forum using IPB 1.3 that's still somewhat active.

Psst, Jcink is basically IPB 1.3 with some upgrades and some mods added to it.

Security and such would be my concern with using something that old. I guess it isn't much of a concern running via a hosting provider like the one stated, but I can't imagine that tossing a new 1.4 install on a server won't come with its share of unpatched problems that people have had 20 years to find.

Granted, it might be so old that bad actors can't even find an old install to test against lol.

Wow, just seeing an old IPB board like that brought back some memories. I worked almost exclusively on phpbb back in the day but I remember making a couple ipb boards just to mess around

I randomly found an IPB 1.2 in the wild this morning.
