how much capital do you need to start up a business??

Self-funding, also known as bootstrapping, is an effective way of startup financing, specially when you are just starting your business. First-time entrepreneurs often have trouble getting funding without first showing some traction and a plan for potential success. You can invest from your own savings or can get your family and friends to contribute.

An entrepreneur will put up a detailed description of his business on a crowdfunding platform. He will mention the goals of his business, plans for making a profit, how much funding he needs and for what reasons, etc. and then consumers can read about the business and give money if they like the idea. Those giving money will make online pledges with the promise of pre-buying the product or giving a donation. Anyone can contribute money toward helping a business that they really believe in.

To start a business it depends on the type of business that will determine the capital needed. For instance a buying and selling of raw materials like clothing materials will nothing less than a Three hundred thousand naira. The person can either collect loan from bank or maybe out of the money he has saved.

I think this question has a straightforward answer, which is the kind of business determines the capital needed to start it. Obviously, you can not use the same planning, capital, tools and other requirements for starting fish farming with that of starting a barbing salon. That is my take.

Angel investors are individuals with surplus cash and a keen interest to invest in upcoming startups. They also work in groups of networks to collectively screen the proposals before investing. They can also offer mentoring or advice alongside capital.Angel Investment as a funding option has its shortcomings too. Angel investors invest lesser amounts than venture capitalists.

The capital money to start or set up a business is not much important to the utilization of the money. Someone may have a huge amount of money to establish a business and he/she may not know how to spend it well when it comes to analysis of the goods to purchase. You can establish a business with any amount if you are a good manager.

1000-2000 dollars is good enough for me at my country's rate it's already a huge amount of money. With that money i can already rent up a place to set up my business at $50 the rest can go fund the equipments and materials i need.

The capital to start a business always depends on the size and type of business. I also belive the poster when he said lack of capital had killed the morale to start up a dream business by the majority of the youth. That's why I encourage early saving.

A venture capital investment may be appropriate for small businesses that are beyond the startup phase and already generating revenues. Fast-growth companies like Flipkart, Uber, etc with an exit strategy already in place can gain up to tens of millions of dollars that can be used to invest, network and grow their company quickly.

I think there is no specific amount in the capital you need to start up a business. It all depends on the business you want to venture into, how big is the idea. Most people usually think it is the amount of capital that one has that determines the success of that business NO.One major factor is discipline you have to be accountable for every penny you spend and also spend wisely to be able to succeed in that particular business. I have seen someone who started with 200k grow it gradually with discipline and some with double of 200k mishandle the business.

I really think it depends on the kind of products or services you intend on starting. But practically speaking, i think $2000-$3000 should be enough for any mini business investment. In Nigeria you could start several business with less budget.

It depends upon your business choice if you want to start real estate business then it will be more money as a capital but if you want selling shop then it will be different in price as Captital. But i would go for Clotges, garments seller shop and i will need about $3000 capital.

When it comes to establishment of a business, capital start up plays a major role to pin a business to be on operation. Their are people today with a unique business idea, and big business vision but find it uneasy to make that dream come through. Cos of lack of capital start up. Through adequate capital, one can mount his or her business to be flowing in full force.

How much capital do you need for your potential business start up??
It depends on the business you're talking about and the person in charge of the such business. If it's a sole proprietorship business, any amount will go but it's a partnership business or any other big business, we all know you are taking about about millions. So, the type of business depends OK n the type of capital needed

Definitely capital is the first thing and also backbone of the business. Without this you can't do anything. Capital need depends upon the nature of the business. I am going to start a business and for that I need only $10000 because only I have to buy stock and star work. No other expenses are there.

As it stands now I already got plans of starting up a business, but capital seems to be the main obstacle that has been hindering me from this establishment but if I could get hold of 4 to 5 million naira then my business should be kicking and running already.

Your business plan will help you think through everything you need to get your business started and help you think about the types of expenses that you’ll have as you get started.

Talking about capital needed to start any business both online or offline all depends on your vision, your business ideas and the type of business that you are about to venture into matters alot. As for me I started my offline business with less than $500 and grow it bigger to the level that I am now.

When I made a start up of a retailing business of computer supplies I was able to come up with the estimated amount of capital. It was good going at the start until I encountered snags and unexpected problems. Now the capital that I would need when I would have another business is at least 50% more of the estimated capital requirement. That extra capital will be my cushion when financial issues would crop up. At least I would not need to borrow money from lenders with a high interest rate.

My potential business start up will not require much capital at first as I will need some money in the region of $1,500. This amount is to start up the business in s small way to build it up till it becomes big not too let it fail. Failure cannot be in my dictionary.
