Have you ever been made to feel uncomfortable on a forum?

I've been made to feel uncomfortable on a couple of forums. I once had that feeling on Reddit when my contrary opinion was feverishly attacked. For a couple of days I couldn't post on the thread because the person who attacked me had a decent amount of followers over there. It is never a good thing to experience.

Yes I have been made to feel.invonfortable in a forum before. Some persons just thinknitnis okay to bully others the way they like. I don't give my time to such persons nor respond to them

No i don't think I have ever been bullied on any online forum. Even if I'm bullied I will never allow someone win that over me, I will definitely go back to that person and raise more than enough on his or her head

Even I don't think I was ever bullied in online forum, it is very hard for anyone to bully online actually. Until unless you take the comments too seriously, you can very well ignore if someone tries to taunt you.

No because if you feel uncomfortable or before the situation happens just leave the community. Their are so many other communities out there!

This has happened to me a couple of times and on one occasion I didn't go back because I felt I was being bullied. The second time was just an argument with a fellow forum member (all good now) so I took a break and then went back. However I felt very uncomfortable almost as bad as if had happened in the real world. Has this happened to you? How did you deal with it?

For over 5 years that I've been working on so many websites, I have never really get into a heated battle with someone because I'm an adult now I understand how people behave.

I have seen many members on fora that share different ideas with mine and we always argue on this but I won't let it generate into bullying or any intimidating stuff. But if it does, I won't exchange words.

Yes most times they make me feel uncomfortable in your four-room when everybody begins to quote you wrong on what you said.

When someone is been made to feel this form of discomfort in any forum, it can be likened to cyber bullying as well. Some people like to bully people for the fun of it and it is very wrong

Yes , it has happened with me once with BMF admin. BMF admin mistakenly told wrong about me in his youtube video and I got upset that day. The next day , he apologized me in the forum after I shouted at him , there was no mistake from my side. Good thing is everything went for good and I was able to judge the nature of BMF admin , he later realized his mistake and everything good now.

I don't think I have been made to feel uncomfortable on any forum at all. If I think a forum isnt good for me I will in my best interest just leave the forum and go my way to another forum

it happens, depends on the type of members that exist in a forum, but i have been through some forums where some members seemed to be "bullying" or so toxic

Even if the people on the forum are sarcastic since everybody comes grin different places then the forum should be able to curtail the abuse on other members.

That depends upon individual. If someone targets other people with angry post, then the person is liable to be shown the right path. Obviously we should maintain everyone's dignity.

I was made uncomfortable when I made a typographical error at one forum. Those guys from the United States are trying to shade me for the error. but I came to my own defence without anybody support.

I have been posting on so many forums for a long time now and really the experience has been a very nice one. I have never been made to feel uncomfortable any platform before.

On beermoneyforum, the admin kept saying my posts were low quality and this made me to quit posting there as it's really unfair treatment.

No my friend. Forums allows you to share your ideas and opinions without necessarily revealing your identity, I think feeling unconformable shouldn't be a question.

Being uncomfortable can happened due to many reason of is when you recently joined a site or forum and you don't know much about the site can make you fell uncomfortable.

This should be my first site where I make comments in a forum. While this can happen sometimes, it can be avoided too. Just ignore them as you are all sharing opinions. So no one should be criticized for his or her opinion.

Not at all it hasn't happened, but I've experienced it happen to other people and it's really not a good feeling, sorry about what you went through .

Seriously, it's actually something that is very common to happen because when you come to a website there are so many people that are operating on that website and we all have our individual differences we can actually be a challenge.

This has never happened to me. I rarely argue with others online, I just focus on my job there. There are people that take delight in starting an argument with every topic, I just turn a blind eye.

Yes one can be able to feel uncomfortable when all your comments I've been quoted and being challenged on what you said.
