Has anyone who previously worked for you hijacked your site?

No one has ever had jacked was it before and I will never allow anyone to do that. It is very important to work with honest people who will stick to the deal.

Yes it happened twice and one time he took over on my website but lucky that my hosting company act very fast and save my website, although I lost some data and traffic but at least I recover my website back.
Sorry about that. These cases are on the increase. People want to take advantage of others' efforts. I would suggest having all the necessary mitigation measures in place before letting your site go live.

Yes, there is this one time a VA i hired tried to take my site. But he could not get the Authentication code. So it did not go through. It really freaked me out. From that day, i only hire VAs from reputable freelance sites.
Sorry about that. These cases are on the rise. Especially since the pandemic forced most of the things to be done online. Most of the VA we have today do not have etiquette. And some are just hackers. It is important to spend time to see their trustworthy rating before engaging them in your site.

Perhaps he was pained for being let go from his job and thought to take revenge or teach the business owners some lessons. That is a criminal act without justifications in my books.

I don't usually read about happenings like this though. I only know about employees who go to start up new websites with similar features and description like the ones they previously worked for.

No one has ever worked for me, not to mention hijacked my site before, maybe the reason is because i dont have a site yet tho😅. But seriously speaking, the thought never crossed my mind that this could actually happen, not just in this aspect but in other aspect as well

I used to work for a site that was hijacked by a disgruntled co-worker. I knew the site owner well, and he got me a job there. I didn't know the guy all that well, but he seemed like a jerk from our correspondence. We didn't talk much either, thank goodness. Anyway, that's not what this is about.

This is about the time he took over the site. He was able to get on the backside of the site and changed the site owners details, as well as mine. I found out when I couldn't sign into my account, and then I saw what he did. He put pornography all over the site and left it be. The site owner had to reachout to godaddy to get the site back and remove the content. It was rough.

Has anyone done this, or tried to hijack or hack your site? I worry all the time someone will mess with my sites.
It happens to someone I knew in my neighbourhood , the man has a betting site and he applied someone to be working for him but later when the guys leaves , he went behind to hijack and shange the owner password .

They have been such cases before but I have personally not experience it. Even though I do not have my own site but I think I would like to do so soon.

I have heard of many stories of people's site being hacked but I have never had a site before that is been hacked by my worker.

I haven't been hijacked by a business partner because I am just working on my business and I hope that doesn't happen, it can be really painful especially when plans have been made.

These days I do not have any paid workers for my sites, but in the past I have had many people working on my sites. However, I never gave administrative access.

That must have been a very terrible experience for those who've experienced such senseless behavior. For me, nobody that has ever worked on my site has ever hijacked it before

No one which has ever labored on my webweb page earlier than has ever hijacked it shape me. I wager I will should be cautious on whom I allow to have get right of entry to to my webweb page admin settings

Some times even those you think are trusted could have some ulterior motives and it is very hard to know and identify the honest ones .

I used to have a friend who was into maintaining a site with three friends. I couldn't count how many times they were hacked. They kept paying some money to release the site until they gave up. I don't think the site is working anymore

Me this could be the highest form of betrayal somebody can ever do to you.why on Earth could you work for someone at the end try to hijack what the person has built for long

Yes, l think l have come across such cases once. I worked for a client on Fiverr, who was developing a website for his music label, l was to provide contents for his web pages, he told me about how he was scared of the web developer working for him, and l was surprised. Until he told me his website could be hijacked by the said developer.

That is regrettable, individuals can simply be exceptionally interesting. My site has never been seized in light of the fact that I don't have one yet there was this site that we dealt with collectively and somebody needed to annihilate it but since we were a lot of we had the option to forestall it.

In our office website I was the one in charge and I am the only one who knows the password for our website. However, the contractor is the one doing the maintenance work so he is my alter ego. My assistant in my section does only the backing up of the articles and not the database. Fortunately there was no bad incidents that happened.

What? What sort of betrayal is this. I've never encountered this before but if it happens you'd be arrested. Come on. Unless of course you dunno who

Seriously this will be one of the worst experience someone can ever face. It is always advisable that you only deal with trusted people because that is the only way you'll be able to prevent this.
