Has anyone raised funds through crowdfunding?

OurCrowd is one of the most active equity crowdfunding platforms in the world, raising over $ 30 million in 2013. They routinely raise $ 500,000 to over $ 1.5 million for companies on the platform. Same goes for sites like AngelList, CircleUp, and FundersClub.

Most of the crowdfunding sites are location sensitive, in other words, most crowdfunding sites do not accepts users from all countries. The crowdfunding sites I know do not accept users from my country.

Instead of crowdfunding, i think you wanted to use debentures because they are the only type of public funds which every businessman want to use as they do not grant voting rights to the public.

Well I have heard about crowd funding but I never joined the site, within myself I don't think that I can raise money from the site that is why was reluctant to join the platform but maybe I can still visit the site so as to know how it works, I don't actually believe in it.

It wasn't really like a popular strategic crowd funding like fund me and the likes but during my service year we needed a public address system so we collected money from other member's club to get it.

Getting funds to start up your business using crowdfunding is not an easy part to follow but when gotten, you'll start your business without thinking of paying debts.Drafting out a well drafted business proposals and plans, getting to convince the donors are part of the process you have to make.

I have not used crowdfunding myself, but I know people who have. Sometimes they are successful and help out a lot, but most of the time, it's really hard to make it a successful campaign. Most people who start a crowdfunding campaign, don't tend to make anything. Usually you need something, like a prototype or an idea that you know can work, and showcase that to draw funds.

I want to try it one of these days, but I don't know if I would want to risk trying it.

Crowdfunding is one of the easy methods to raise funds for your business. Crowdfunding means you raise money by asking for donations. Crowdfunding is basically two types:

1. You do not have to pay back the people who donated
2. You have to provide some incentives to the donors

In order to raise money through crowdfunding, you will have to launch a crowdfunding campaign through crowdfunding sites. Some of the popular crowdfunding sites are:

1. GoFund
2. KickStarter
3. IndiGoGo

In order to launch a crowdfunding campaign and collect funds, you will have to pitch your idea through an article, images, and explainer video. You need to be as much authentic as you can. You need to add authenticity to your campaign by adding your social profile and website address.

I'm just hearing about this for the first time and it sounds like a nice idea, where does the funding take place ? Is it an application or a website? Though to pull this off you'll need to have a good network of business associates.

Well concerning your question on crowdfunding, i would say, yes, I have read and I've seen successful crowdfunding through gofundme account on the internet which I think is a very lovely idea for those who can't raise capital or seek loans to begin or develop their business ideas, not all are successful though

Crowfunding is not just about donation, it requires your business experience also because because you have to ensure you do what you put there for people to donate their money for you

Yes I have raised money from croudfounding before, but I only tried it once well it was no that is for me because I have to go into different form of explanation and I had to give them more reason to donate.

I have not used or start a business through crowdfund before so I think I won't have much details to say about this kind of funding aspect as far as am concerned but that doesn't mean I don't know about crowdfunding. The only issue is just that Investors don't like keeping their money with people these days

I have not raised fund through crowdfunding, but have seen a lot of gofund me online. Some for someone who is sick and in need of financial assistance, some for school expenses and some in support of their friends.

Most of the organizations behind fundraising campaign are fraudsters, they end up messing the whole thing up and this is why they are not really trusted here again.

Crowd funding is not really popular and not much people are involve, this is because the site is built on trust and it's quite difficult to find one. I prefer sticking to what I understand.

I had seen links of people asking donations on the internet but I had never known how they created the funding links.

Crowd funding seems to be good for raising money. But you also need to gain people's trust for them to give you their money. But I have never tried it before.

I have heard about crowd funding somany times but I haven't tried it out because I wasn't sure of what could come out of it based on the previous experiences we have had with all those scam ponzi schemes that turn out to be problematic.

If you want to raise funds for your business, especially a business that is trying to create its own product, kickstarter is a good crowdfunding platform. A lot of start up get funded through kickstarter/
