Do you ever take payment upfront?

Many people that make others especially online usually turn it to joke. When you get there with the award that they tell you that you're no longer interested or they don't like it but if they had made payment up front it shows that they are actually serious.

There are some particular type of work that you have to take or accept payment upfront and receive the balance after completing the work. I don't usually take it because it's not necessary for my type of work

I have not offered any service online and so i have not been opportune to take payment upfront. I've never received upfront payment on the website i work on too.
