Delegating an e-commerce site to the staff

There's nothing bad if you have a committed staff who has the required knowledge to handle your website. Most of these popular websites and forums are handled by paid staff who run them efficiently.

Staff welfare is also important.. when they are taken good care of the shall be able to deliver so therefore staff welfare is very essential at this time

In actual sense I will let the staff do the work and also test the potential ability of they can do it or not

There are some aspects you can delegate to the stars when it comes to e-commerce. Advertisement spending is not something you can delete this to all the staffs if you want to see good return on investment on your money.

Do you think it is wise to delegate the operation of the e-commerce website to the staff? An online store owner is planning to sell his website but for the meantime his staff are handling the operation. It is not clear about the status of the business but it looks like it is earning. If you were the owner, would you just sell or let the staff do the work?
E-commerce website is one of the best if not the best things that has ever happened to a business owner who has decided to take goods and services online, you don't have to be monitoring it, you just have to take stock of inventory weekly or monthly because everything will be accounted for

You can delegate the tasks to the staff but maybe not all. The entire operation is for the manager to handle if he is fully trusted. But the owner has to be checking the performance of the business from time to time.

I don't see any problems in this as long as you trust the person who you want ti manage your ecommerce site in your absense. Jeff Bezos owns Amzon, he is not there to look after day to day activities.

To me delegating the site to the staff is not a problem the problem is how much trust do you have for that staff, how sure are u that he won't disappoint, and how effective is he or she towards work

Is the owner delegating the selling process of the online store to his staffs or he is allowing staffs to continue sales of items in the store for him, which isn't actually?

i really don't see anything bad in that if an online store can give the handling of their store to a staff. The bone of contention should be that can the staff handle the Business if yes then give him

I think it is not a good decision because it good for you to handle it by yourself not allowing your staff to overtake, that should not a good idea to make.

It's not a wise decision. It would be best if you share responsibility to staff but you should be the one managing or oversee the e-commerce in terms of the sales and profit. The staff should just look out for the customers and attend to inventories.

It will entirely be determined by the staff's competence and the level of faith I have in them. If he or she is someone I can trust, I'll think about it.

There is nothing wrong in the employer delegating the e-commerce website functions to the staff but such employer needs to also understand how the website works or he must have an access to the earnings tab and reports area of the backend to be able to view the progress - let him understand this first.
I would advise that he doesn't sell the website since it has been bringing income, all he needs to do is find ways of improving the website/e-commerce activities for more profits

If the staff is experienced enough and doing the job well, then I would leave the website in his or her hands instead of selling it off.
It can be sold off if there's no one to handle it effectively.

It's better to delegate it to a dedicated staff who will handle it. If such a person is dedicated, he can grow the online store and more vendors will pay to use it and this will generate income for you.

If I am so busy and so cant run the e-commerce site myself, then I will delegate the work to a staff member. There would be no need to loose a site that is earning. The staff member should be really skilled on running an e-commerce website.

Of course I'll monitor the activities on the site and delegate other less important tasks out. But to hand it over completely to a staff, I wouldn't dare.
While trying to sell it, I'll still keep looking for ways to improve earnings. Besides that staff wouldn't carry the same passion the same way I carry for the business.

I think I will allow someone to manage the site, that is if the site is generating income, it seems the whole purpose of the e-commerce business is to sell, that is what the website does.

I don't really know much about this but it is something I will like to learn more about,I'll have to so some research concerning this in order to gather more knowledge about it
