I once read a book authored by Dale carnegie titled— ‘How to win friends and influence people’. In that book he made mentioned that a student of his narrated to the class on how he boosted production at his workplace. The student said he noticed a decline in the production and he was losing money. Instead of him to reprimand his workers, he didn’t do that. He ordered a chalkboard and placed it where all his workers can see it on a daily basis. At the end of each working session, he writes the numbers of production on the chalkboard. He rubs off the previous Number and write the present one. He said he noticed a massive increase the production rate and his business started booming.
Notice he didn’t condemn his workers for the decline instead he created a healthy competition without sacking or spending much.

My question now is; How do you create a healthy competition in your work place?

You can engage them in weekly competition like giving them trophies and gift depending on how well they work for that week. You can give them a challenge which will make them work more efficiently especially the one that will keep them commited to their jobs

just like you said, you can make a target that the workers can reach and in the end, if it has reached it, it will be rewarded with something. that something should be motivating enough for them not to be taken lightly.

Try to engage them in competition, set a prize for the winner of the day or week, depending on how much the have work, you can give them a challenge which will make them take the work so serious

Just like you stated, create a target for them maybe every month and ask them to meet it, also be more engaging with your employees.

I think he made a wise decision by doing so , but for me to create a healthy competition i will give or set out and also divide the jobs for different employees, so i could know where the fault is

it's about having a good strategy and sticking with it to get a good job done. good strategy great achievements.

Give a prize for every substantial achievement within the business. For example, a trip to a coveted location or lunch at a standard restaurant.

I create a healthy competition among my employees by encouraging and motivating them. Motivation alone can make your employee works beyond your imagination

In my work, we use the strategy of giving people a day off according to their performance, previously we collected cash and rewarded them once a month.

He didn’t set a target he only write their production rate at the end of each work session on the chalkboard everyday . I feel setting target makes you bossy.

You can do that by rewarding outstanding performance. You simply set targets and whoever meets or exceeds them is rewarded. Sometimes it doesn't even have to be monetary - where I used to work, my line manager would sometimes say whoever emerges ahead of the pack gets to work a half day on a Friday. You can get creative with it.

Create a healthy competition between your workers but try as much as you can not to make it bias

Interesting update, especially that book wrote by dale Carnegie that stated how to win friends and influence people. That particular book teaches me how to influence and convince people about what my inventory. Promoting my innovative idea, influencing with my creative prowess and as well convincing them to buy.

I don’t think there is anything like healthy competition, because it’s all about make it real without grudges to help you keep moving higher as expected.

Creating healthy competition among employees will improve the stability of your business and also improve the employees' dedication

It is the best, it helps workers to work very hard, and by doing that the business grow in a geometric way.

Competition that raises their sense of sportsmanship and willingness to get better while lifting others is good, rivalry is exciting and refreshing from the boring routine

The best way to create a healthy competition among your employees is by introducing awards like best employee of the month, most punctual employee of the month e.t.c.
These will really motivates them to put in their absolute best at work so as to get rewarded for it.
